Okay, I really don't want this game to die. We haven't seen a post on the blog in a while, so that might mean that we're supposed to do something to further the plot (like when we were supposed to call Logan).

What do we need to do? Is there anything I can do to help the research since I have the notebook on-hand?

I e-mailed Joshua a few days ago asking if he'd received that missing notebook page (#6) and haven't heard back. (He replied to me when I asked about 11/11, even though I was pursuing a bad lead there.) It's possible the PM is just busy with Thanksgiving/family shenanigans or doesn't currently have computer access. If I don't hear back by sometime next week, I'll accept it's a bad lead.

I also just left another voicemail with Logan on the harebrained idea that this is a dialogue of some sort:

Logan: What was the first thing you thought when you woke up this morning?
Me: What time is it?
Logan: I have found my answer. Pretty soon, I believe you will, too.
Logan sends out notebook full of 2:37.
Me: Logan, why is it always 2:37?

Long shot, but I figured I'd try. I'll look at the notebook pages again for patterns too.

First time posting on JAF, haven't really ARG-ed since Cloverfield, but I heart Marble Hornets, and I heart this.

Some observations:

Random bone. Where else have I seen random bone? The word is written in spray paint on the inside of the closet in the house J investigates in MH video #16. So far, I think everyone has been considering them separate stories in a central (or related) worlds. Not disputing that, thought it might just be a cool nod.

2) Scan page 15 in Logan's mini moleskin features Slenderman with wings. The period (darkened circle) at the bottom is very similar to the clocks drawn randomly on other pages (including scan page 16). Does the not quite refer to the scribbled over clock? If so, is the time hint of 2:37 not supposed to be a true time reference, but supposed to stand for something else?

3) Scan page 17. (He is one. You are one. He was one.) Taken with scan page 26. (You are but a child, occupying the world that once belonged to one of my dearest friends.) And then scan page 29. (If this page stays with the notebook, then one day he will get my message.)

Taken as related, they seem to imply acquisition: The Entity interacts with a victim, the victim becomes ill/insane/goes missing, and the friends and family are drawn in and affected, possibly becoming part of The Entity themselves (or a clone, ala Tomie). Page 26 could be addressed to Matt as he was in the hospital. If The Entity will receive the message, it is because Logan will encounter/become/be consumed by The Entity. This is assuming Logan wrote the entry before he made the decision to pass the notebook on.

Something about the Slenderman thing, how he kills people and removes their organs, reminds me of the old Norse blood raven ritual. They'd break two ribs near each of your shoulder blades and, without puncturing the chest cavity, pull the lungs out so that the victim still lives and breathes for a while while their lungs are flopping about like useless wings.

Apparently the other variation involves partially skinning them and removing more organs, but the first was more popular because they screamed for the gods longer.

And then there was hanging people from trees as a sacrifice to Odin...

Okay, Logan hasn't posted anything in a while, and while I think that Joshua may have received page VI from the moleskin notebook and will post something on JAFool regarding this fact in the near future, that might not necessary be true.

But I do think that the PMs are waiting for us to make some progress. The game finally feels like it's become a full-blown ARG in the sense that our actions directly effect the outcome, and we should therefore begin doing something in order to progress the game.

"dopeoplethink" has a hunch that page V may belong to him. Page VII reads, "YOU are but a child, occupying the world that once belonged to one of my dearest friends." Does anyone believe that VII may belong to them?

Also, what significance does 2:37 hold? Perhaps a glance at the blog, or pages number II, III, and VII in either Dav's notebook or mine hold some importance.

Any ideas?

It's 2:37 that his watch is on in the header and the first post. Every entry in the moleskin notebook is made at 2:37.

Military time, that'd be 1437, and it came uo on Veteran's day. Maybe it's something to do with an event from November 11, 1437? It's a long shot, but...
