Emm guys...

It seems to be a woman calling Alex. Dunno where a woman comes into the equation... She should be in the kitchen but she's obv not when Alex does in Razz

Anyway I've uploaded some audio with as much noise reduction as I can master.

I'm sure it's not strictly necessary by this point but here's another version of the audio processed, in which I think it's fairly conclusive that the voice is saying Alex.

Yea, that really sounds like someone saying 'Alex'. I still say that totheark is one of the actors/film crew members.

To be honest, I'm sure what I got out of it was correct. So could someone else try it and see what they get? I put the 5s and 10s where it was 5 seconds into the video, and what not.

Played around with the Deluge audio in Windows Sound Recorder (just the left channel) and think I have a pretty good idea what the voice in the recording is.

A little girl says "Alex" (or something like it) several times on the left channel of the audio file. The word is said with a long trailing "X" sound in the original clip - too long/unnatural for an actor to say. Actually, when the clip runs at the regular speed, the whole thing sounds unnatural (probably the intent). When sped up 200%, the line sounds entirely natural. Nothing is rushed, and the trailing "X" sound is much more audible (and lasts an expected duration).

The emphasis was surprising - I was it to be on the first syllable (creating a mocking sound) but it was on the last syllable.

The sound clip of the girl is copy/pasted throughout the file on one separate track. You can tell because the trailing "X" sound in Alex is cut off if the next clip starts too soon. If an actress would say these lines (especially a child), the words would mesh together.

This was in response to Entry 11, though totheark has not mentioned where the audio should go.

I have been continuing to listen to that clip, and it sounds like there's an "S" sound at the beginning of Alex. The extended "X" sound almost sounds like "legs", so the clip is beginning to sound like "sow legs" or "salads" or something. I know it was mentioned before, but I am wondering if it really is supposed to be "salads". The "S" sound at the beginning seems *really* distinct...maybe they chose a word that sounded like Alex to throw us off a potential clue?

You need to reverse the sound clip, or else it does sound like salads.

Something strange about deluge, the video file is EXACTLY 15 sec long, while the audio is slightly longer. I've included a wmv of deluge with the video chopped a bit making it easier to tell the -'s from the .'s

One other thing I thought of, maybe the flashing sequence is reversed? If someone tries to decode it, and it makes gibberish, try reversing what you got.
