Just because OP Smith is crazy and wants to destroy TEDO doesn't necessarily make them the good guys. In my opinion TEDO is still probably "bad" but, at the moment, OP Smith is a bigger worry to us than TEDO because he wants to access the rift between the two dimensions in order to get to his wife.
But the rift is bad and needs to be closed (once Tylean and Abie and them come through as they should).

interesting, i'll be nice to him, won't betray him and help him Smile

In OP's case its the old saying:
Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
As for TEDO through social brainwashing and such, they've placed themselves everywhere in that society long before many of the players were around. I could see a society that's become so used to the pleasantries of life that they don't think twice about TEDO everywhere, after all they've given the people everything they could want...

Edit:Have we decided if we waqnna give OP the coordinates for TEDO yet? Now that we more than likely have them in the Logo thread...

Fresh from TEDO!

Quote:
Very well, it seems that some in the Great Tesmna Etermul Dhrem Ol in your world have been more resilient than others. We will unite the worlds. But there are those who will destroy our plans for multi-dimensional Peace. There is one among you who must be stopped. He is trying to find the rift. He has a Donar'tnel; one that was stolen from one of our Lorsham who was learning to travel between the worlds. He must be stopped. He must not be allowed to find the rift. You must lead him away from the Isle of Man. HE MUST NOT TRAVEL TO OUR WORLD. This will be a test of your loyalty.

Help a gal who wants to rejoin the ranks out, guys! Twisted Evil

Great we get to play both sides against middle, Smile
This should be fun.

Edit: If we flip the coordinates we have (north for west) we end up in South America, how's that for a 2 day journey?

Being a sorta/kinda Lorsham in the last ARG, I had also sent an email to TEDO, here's what I got back:

Quote:
You must be one of the filthy Alovieb that destroyed my brothers in your world. Yet perahps, you may also hold the answer to what we fear. The Urk'Reja have rebelled against us. No doubt your are a softer target than us for the time being. If you stop them, we will be merciful to your kind.

I don't remember the Urk'Reja, I'm assuming it's a new group being introduced.

And, after OP sending this to me (after asking why he thought de Hill killed his wife's double):

Quote:
Does it not make sense to you? Do you yet mock me?
I have found the passage way, the clues are clear but I need more understanding.

I asked him what he needed to understand, and he sent this:

Quote:
I don't understand these symbols! The first one was easy; once you know the orientation, but this next one...why do I feel I can trust you and your friends? You're clearly working for the TEDO. I have said enough

Uhhhhhhh......... this is bad.....
If we help OP towards the TEDO, we cheeze off the TEDO.
If we misdirect OP, we cheeze him off....

Personally I think it's better to cheeze off one crazy family man with a stone he doesn't understand than cheeze off one very powerful group.

I can't remember. Did we tell OP Smith where to go (Isle of Man) or did he figure it out himself? I'm thinking the former AND BY FORMER I MEAN LATTER...

Well, I kinda considered Binsakne at least a half-crazy family man towards the end of RB Laughing . But, he knew what he was doing.

I don't remember anyone telling OP about the Isle of Man, but someone could have.

I think I'm confused, OP said he found the TEDO base (destroyed) now he's looking for the rift. Is the logo the location of the TEDO base or the location of the rift? Where is the rift?

If the logo is the location of TEDO's base then it would be the headquarters of the one in ThatWorld.

kobrosti: You seem to be in good with OP, can you find out if he knows what the symbols mean on the logo? I think it's a good idea to see if he knows about the alphabet... If we can misdirect him without making him mad that would be good. If he doesn't know what the symbols mean maybe we don't either.... Yet...

Time for another update, this time it's three sources and a message from both Abie and Tylean! Yippee!!! More help!

So Eve sent me this in response to me asking about what Tylean meant about the 'numbers' he spoke of and if she can get us any more messages or a recording somehow. I think this may be hepful.

Quote:
They go in and out of consciousness all day (and night!). Occasionally they can talk for a few sentences, but I can never be sure when this will be. I will try to get a recording, but the timing will be difficult. I don't know if it means anything (at first I thought it didn't, but a few hours ago, Abie said: "They don't know in which way to read them; they don't know the orientations". They often say things like this and it doesn't make sense. But almost immediately, Tylean seem to respond to Abie! He said (and it sounded like a poem, that's how come I remember):

"You are correct, Abie my dear,
Yet more than this they should not fear.
They have travelled many roads,
And have taken upon them many loads.

West and East then North and South
If they but hear the words of my mouth.
Then North and South and West and East
They may yet find the passage at least."
I'm not sure if this will help with anything, but it seemed to be more than just dellirium.

Also got a reply from ThatTEDO again in regards to my request for Lorsham status, some interesting info but not much to go on. I'm trying to pump them for more but looks like Blue's got the edge on me in that respect:

Quote:
The other Speakers are interfering with us. The alovieb in your world were more effective than they were in ours. We crushed them and the Abie. The Tylean was punished and the Binsakne works for us now. But the Urk'Reja seem to have taken solance from what happened in your world and they now rebel against us. We may have need of you in the future. Perhaps you may even become a Lorsham.

Also, a reply from OP that's not worth posting, it literally just said "Where is she?" in response to me telling him that ThatEve was with his family and could be trusted. ot sure if I should tell him where Eve is or let him just do his thing though, for now I told him I dodn't know where she was.

So, get cracking on the poem people, unless of course it's a clue for the coordinates which you seem to have already.

@zephus: I believe Abraxas has been working on the symbols with AUZ and may have found the answer, but I'm pretty sure OP doesn't know yet, he doesn't have the info we do.

What if we give Eve the coordinates we have, maybe she can tell us what's there? I was kinda thinking either underwater base or "Oil Platform". If it's Oil Platform it's probably owned by Total Efficient Domestic Oil or something like that...

Well, feel free to send them along and see what she can come up with, but from Tylean's poem it looks like we may be slightly off. Although it certainly wouldn't hurt to try asking Eve, she knows the place better than we. Maybe attach the picture from the logo thread if you're sure that's it, and any other location possibilities.

I wouldn't tell him where they are.
Or, rather, I wouldn't tell them the correct place. We need to follow TEDO on this one (no, not just for my own brownie points) and keep OP away from finding the rift.

I've been thinking of telling OP Smith a false location somewhere off the Isle of Man (but reasonably near, like maybe Norfolk in Great Britain Wink) and telling him ThatEve took his family there to bide some time from TEDO while she tries to arrange bringing them back to him.
Problems I can foresee being he may still want to go through the rift; he may just flat-out not believe me; or he may just not want to leave the Isle of Man and say he'll wait for ThatEve to bring them to him.

Thoughts? Opinions? Emotional outbursts?
I'm gonna be gone for a day and a half so I won't be able to do anything about it for a while... maybe I'll be able to log on for a short time tomorrow afternoon.
