Some things Booba and I have noticed about the Almanac.

the days/dates are not from 1890, but more likely this year
The Cambridge term dates look wrong; not sure but at least today term ends on a Friday
There are 4 Full Moons listed. The First 2 are in Capitals. Then there are 2 in December, only 22 days apart, which is impossible. The second one is 26th Dec, when the film comes out.

Perhaps the full moons are milestones in the game.

ETA: Booba pointed out that the one on the 26th is the only one that really happened in 1890

Awesome interface, but what the crap are we supposed to do? How do you earn reputation points or do anything for that matter? Seems like all we can do is flip through the journal looking at the evidence we have already seen.

I'm lost.

I've noticed that my reputation points increased as I read all the evidence and character profiles in my case book.

The game has begun, and me and Psysop still have (technical) troubles in teaming up. Hopefully we get this thing run soon.

Ok, first time I loaded it the site didn't work. I've played through the evidence and I'm at the part where I'm supposed to chase the suspect but nothing is happening. Anyone else having problems with the site loading/working properly?

Sometimes it takes a while to load for me (even requiring an occasional refresh), but as I am on a slower connection this may not mean much

I was wondering if I just had to wait or something. I have a fast connection but all I see is the screen explaining the controls. When I hit home I briefly see the game screen flash but it's only for a second. Guess I'll just refresh and wait.

I know Holmes says it's "a capital mistake to theorize in advance of the facts," but I suspect strongly that the head of security is the inside man, and planted the map on the Irishman.

He was the only one with detailed knowledge of where the guards would be, and it's a fine alibi to knock yourself out when a heist occurs. Note that all the other ARMY men fled for fear of being shot, instead of attempting to fight the intruders.

My theory might be amiss, but we shall see.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I agree, and I waged quite a bit on it. Also makes sense that he would have someone try to keep Conway at the event so she would take attention off of him as well. Whom better to setup for a crime than a thrice suspected jewel thief!

Just waiting on my Sherlock to confirm now...

I also strongly suspect that Jenny Shurston orchestrated the whole thing. She wrote that disgruntled letter about women being denied the chance to be true Egyptologists; if she had these artifacts stolen, it would provide her the chance to study the things she's loved since childhood.

Edit: Lestrade said the heist was carried off with "military precision." If that doesn't scream Hunter....

Certainly not! That 5 pound note had South African snuff on it. Hunter's men had served in S. Africa.

What's with the roofer's hammer, I wonder?

There's a pretty definitive clue in the basement.

I played as both due to the hook-up problems listed above, and am wondering if it plays differently for Holmes, Watson, and both.

Did everone go to the basement?

I played through the basement tunnels, rapidly might I add Wink

Knocked over a few crates and ended up with 476 points out of it.

I just wagered 500 points on
