4chan is just the place where all the drama happens. I wouldn't worry too much about that thread, especially considering it's pretty much just a bunch of whining trolls attacking both the PM of this ARG and uF.

[SPEC] What is this all about

I have a few speculations why this is all going the way it is:
I do not think this is a viral for whatever, since no company wold pay money for something that will make there costumers that angry.

Nevertheless there was high quality content at the beginning. And some money behind it.

Now my theory: There was indeed a company behind this all. Production started, but then the PMs costumer did not want the game, did not pay or cancel the contract. That might have been happened long ago or after the PM started to play the game in a not very nice way.

Nevertheless the PM had some high quality material and was/is quite fucked up with his former costumer and the whole situation. He started what we now discussing.

So all this high quality content has only been presented during the first few days of the "game". There has been no update or new content since then.
Only some twittering and FB communication, which does not need money anymore.

I suppose that what AUZ is saying is the most probable case.

In that event, I'd still like to know what's going to happen with this ARG. Will it be shutdown, or what?

Who knows...
Would the client force the PM to stop? Maybe.
Would the PM eventually get bored? Probably.

And speaking of bored (not nec to you Frown-chan)...

OHNOES TEH DRAMA! is not enough to get this game locked down or nuked from UF or whatever. It is reason for me to wonder if some of you have ever been on the internets before. srsly. I'm a newbie to uF and have been contributing my thoughts on this whole Junko Junsui deal for the past 24 hours in order to try and set things straight, both for myself and for others. It has nothing to do with "getting off on teh dramahz," as you so eloquently put it, and I'd appreciate it if you got off my back.

From what I've observed, the PM of this ARG has gotten very upset with the playerbase for some reason, and somehow I doubt that he will continue leaving clues or updating the sites or whatnot.

My point was that the game would be locked down because the PM refused to continue, thus bringing the ARG to a halt. It had nothing to do with internet drama causing people to become disheartened and change their minds about playing the game.

Dude. Chill. I specifically said "not nec to you Frown-chan" cause, well, I didn't mean it for you. I meant it to all the people contacting me as an admin and being all "OMG LOOK AT JUNKO! KILL IT! MAKE IT STOP!"

I just combined two posts into one. The top part in direct reply to you. The bottom part was an attempt to bring some perspective to people who were all OHNOES! 'Cause we all get wrapped up every now and then.

I apologize for jumping the gun, I guess, but at the same time, saying "not nec to you" is pretty vague, as it is uncommon lingo. I didn't know that meant, so I ignored it.

Anyway, yes, sorry. But what I said in my previous post still stands:

What you said was very offensive and could easily be the beginning of a flame war.

FYI - Imbri is a "she" and a board administrator and a very experienced PM. She was pointing out there have been many requests for "locking this down" (re: JJ) and TOS issues (Terms of Service) including borderline verbal attacks on other forum users.

Save your dislike for the JJ PMs and gamejackers, rather than dishing it out to other uF players. Aren't we really the good guys here?
