What?!?

I shouldn't have to prove that he isn't, in the same manner I don't have to prove each of the 4,000 other followers aren't.

He has to show that he is "in game", usually by acknowledgment from an established "in game" source.

I have communicated with Basil in the past. His actions have me convinced he's a "gamejack".

As far as I know, no IG character has yet to mention Basil in anyway. Basil showed up of their own accord and tried to feed us information, without being able to prove they were in-fact IG.
So as far as anything posted by them goes, I'm planning to disregard it until it's proven they are in fact, IG.

Just had a couple ideas in the shower Razz

We've seen that 2 of the location symbols can match up to form a 3rd symbol.

Maybe this is the "antipodal" that was mentioned.
Each location is connected to another location.

Dubrovin, in one of his emails to me, mentioned that terrorists sometimes use compound glyphs to represent things.

My other thought was, what would happen if we took the line made by the coordinate puzzle and flipped it so it intersected with the original line. Maybe something of interest would be at the intersection point?

Basil Valentine first appeared HERE, on these forums. According to them, they were a friend of Patrick and didn't know what was going on. I explained them the concept of an "ARG" through private messenger (I assumed they were a real acquaintance caught up in all this mess) and, as a result, they modestly thanked me on these forums. You can search for that yourself; it's like midway through the big thread.

If that person was "in game", that would be a blatant violation of this site's Terms of Service. Since they seem to be well aware of those terms and have not violated them yet (they have posted on other forums, such as 5/8, but not on this one), I'd like to think they're aware of the ToS here.

AFTER Basil posted here the LinkedIn and Facebook accounts appeared out of thin air, the LinkedIn one being what appears to clearly be a fabrication (it says they work for NSE).

Since then they have provided virtually no dialogue, and everything they've posted is nonsensical.

There are only two links from game material to Basil:

1) Patrick added Basil as a connection on LinkedIn. Since it's established that Basil might actually be a real acquaintance of Patrick, it makes sense that he would accept the invitation.

2) Notes on Basil Valentine left by Patrick, which could be argued to be a result of our own inquiries as to who Basil is. Again, Basil might be a real acquaintance, so it stands to reason that Patrick might bring the name up, especially if that person is really looking to find out what's going on.

Conclusion: There might be a real Basil Valentine out there, one that knows Patrick and might be concerned about him as a result of all this commotion. The person on LinkedIn and Facebook is, in my opinion, most definitely not the same person.
