ugh, I hope they don't start encouraging creation of fake linkedin accounts. I don't know how much linkedin's been inundadted by fictional users or spam and whatnot, but isn't it like one of the last bastions of hope for legitimate professional networking?

Couple of new emails in my CRS inbox this morning. One from Jim asking for a bio so he can "properly introduce" me to the team, and one a brief exchange between Jim Feingold and Jim Stewartson of Fourth Wall Studios, which Feingold forwarded on to ask for my opinion on the RIDES platform Fourth Wall Studios has developed. Guess it's time for me to do some reading on the games it's been used for so I can offer an informed opinion...

I'm locking this thread temporarily due to recent actions of whoever is behind this game, in the unauthorized distribution of personal and proprietary/confidential information of real-life individuals and companies without their permission.

I'm not happy about this at all. The level of idiocy in the name of 'coolness' and 'innovation' never cease to astound me. I've removed Jim Stewartson's personal information, and I've confirmed with him that 4th Wall is not involved, which doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out.

This thread will remain locked until I have a chance to confer with the other admins to determine a course of action.

I'd caution anyone following this to be aware that the PMs seem to have no concept of privacy issues and have no trouble distributing non-fictional info or material that doesn't belong to them. However, this is an issue between said PMs and the parties involved. I'm glad I'm not the only one that does that.

What I'm thinking is that whomever so created this game is taking some time (and a step back) after vpisteve got so upset about the e-mail. Rethinking their approach, and whether or not they're going to keep progressing, and how they will if/when they do.
