thought this was related to the Murcheson expidition thread, but I've been informed I'ts a seperate ARG that operates on a tangent to that one, it's due to start October 1st, so here you go.

this is the Email i recieved:

Friends -

My name is Gali Pod-Gurney. Before a military coup, I was the Prime Minister of West Djahar. I am asking for your help to restore democracy to the people of West Djahar by returning me, their duly elected Prime Minister, to office.

I've attached an article about the coup, which was published in the London Times. My web page, before I was deposed, was http://podgurney.tripod.com/

I appreciate any help you can give, but most especially your brain-power. It will take more heads than one to acheive a successful conclusion to this sad affair. Register your intent to help.

When you register, I will arrange for transport (airline eTicket) to Kandur International Airport at your convenience and I'll arrange for an agent to meet you and be your guide, and send along some other items that will make helping me easier.

Article from "The London Times", 14 July, 2009 Coup in West Djahar

U.S. Ambassador Implicated
Ajembukan – A military coup has apparently taken place in West Djahar. Troops loyal to the Foreign Secretary, Gali Kali Gobuddi exploded
from the West Djaharian Game Reserve, and stormed the capital today. There were reports of heavy fighting in and around the offices of the Prime Minister.

This coup has all the earmarks of having been planned long in advance, with secret arms and ammunition dumps, as well as people placed in
strategic areas; the Port, the Ministries (most notably the Defence Ministry), the Radio and Television stations. By the time people realized
it was happening, it was all over except for small pockets of resistance.
Gobuddi, had himself declared Prime Minister, by Parliamentary acclamation (soldiers were in the Parliament chambers). He also appointed one Raul Djeku Murcheson as the new Foreign Minister.

The British Prime Minister had this to say about the coup, "I'm sure that all the parties in this dispute will work something out that puts the country on a firm democratic footing." Thus implying that this coup did not have a
democratically arrived at "footing". The U.S. Ambassador Bernie Baxter-Wallops was implicated in the coup and was declared Persona Non Grata by West Djaharian authorities. His daughter Sophie Baxter-Wallops was the Journalist for the Sturdevant Expedition before she was arrested for suspicion of smuggling guns into West Djahar. Currently, there are pockets of resistance, but the new government headed by Prime Minister
Gobuddi, has vowed to clear the resistance away by any means necessary.

Former Prime Minister, Mr. Gali Pod-Gurney was seen slipping out of his office, just before the rebel soldiers were coming to arrest him. No one knows of his whereabouts. Mr. Gudger Brames is the Times Bureau Chief in West Djahar. He will be reporting on the Sturdevant Expedition from his office in Ajembukan

lol, when i first read it i thought it was one of those "i'm a deposed king and cant access my money, give me your bank details and i'll share it with you" emails.

 		Ditto on the friend addy. Enjoyed the adventure part of #1 and Fishjp giving me crib notes when I got lost Laughing , so I'll try to play catch up this wknd.

Laommi88, its up to yourself how deeply you want to get involved, signing up to the sites lets the PM (puppetMaster) that your involved and will put you on any mailing lists or in the case of the wiki will let you update anystuff you discover. I'm still relatively new myself, so feel free to ask any questions, if i can answer i will, if not im sure the more experianced players will help out, I've found UF to be a very friendly forum.

 		I just got a wikispace invite in my email...immediately came here after I saw the wiki's homepage. It just screamed ARG to me. Haven't been involved in an arg for a bit, but I was involved in the early days of the Murcheson expedition, so I guess I'll join up. Looks like fun

EDIT:
I was looking at the first link that was given in emails...(http://podgurney.tripod.com/) and noticed a "more" link at the end of the blog entries. Goes to a page which links to a pdf "Resistance Declaration of Democracy" looks like more documents may be added? the heading of the page is "West Djaharian Resistance Documents".
