[Task] Tales From The Tunnels: The Grotian Grapevine
http://www.grotiangrapevine.blogspot.com/

I just sent this message out to the Communications Team but also would appreciate everyone's input and participation:

Hi Comm Group!

PinkCloud and I were chatting last night about the need for a news blog for the Grotians. My thought is that it would be a public vehicle in which everyone could post about his own life experience to show that change is needed and that all citizens must have equal rights. My hope is that a show of numbers would serve to encourage others to join the movement.

Do you have any thoughts about this or suggestions for it? Would anyone like to volunteer to get it started and work on it?

Without wanting to sound crass, maybe a spoof Amnesty International website / flyer etc. could work?

I'm happy to post some thoughts as a young person growing up as a Grotian.

Or as someone researching their family tree...

I'd like to get more thoughts about this before anyone moves ahead on this on their own. SpiltFish has offered to set it up, but we need to decide on a name for it that reflects our purpose. I don't want it to be one person's blog. This is for everyone to participate in. Thanks!

Tales from the Tunnels, stories of Grotian Oppression

then have each post be an account of the horrors of living in the underground. each persons individual tale of lack of entertainment the fleeting hopes of a better life, you know, how it is terrible down in the tunnels but how they dream of having a better life.

Love your ideas so far. Keep 'em coming! Very Happy

Keep in mind the dual objectives:
1. tell the stories of unfair life as Grotian
2. encouraging fellow Grotians and Party sympathizers to join the fight for freedom.

have some posts be from the children who only wish for a better life outside the undergroun tunnels, how they wish to seethe sunlight and enjoy the many projects of archie rebel(that will help win him over even more). How they want a better world to live in here everyone is equal(that will win over melissa, she wants to change the world)

I like the thought of including Archie here Smile

some brainstorming on names:

The Grotian Moment - News from the Oppressed
Tales from the Tunnel - The Truth about the Grotians

i think this is going to be a great thing, i might not be a comm team member, but i could surely come up with a few good rants on the conditions and lack of the simple needs in life.

loving Tales from the Tunnel

Just for the sake of clarity, this news blog will be open for all to contribute. We can post both news and stories of our lives as Grotians. So if you want to post your experience as a child, you can do that. Even if someone fears change and doesn't approve of the movement, I think that's fine, too. All voices can be heard. Tales From The Tunnels really resonates with me.

I know i think its why i like it soooo much, but anything that shows the suffering will make for a good title.

as for a rant, we can have a small child, with some obscure foreign name, telling his story of growing up without a tv and only hearing about Archie Rebel from the sewer grates, and how he wants to be famous someday like him, because 'famous people are liked by the proscripts; or something of that sort. and how from the time they are born they are kept from havinga good life, the darkness of the tunnels often scares them, but they are not allowd topside unless they are working on building something, and even then they are not allowed to be too close to the Proscripts. in and out of the tunnels but no where else to go, no schools or entertainment, just suffering and work.
