The fact that they do spell out "seventyseven" as one word sounds to me like that site's somehow "in game" and maybe there's something to be found there.

Mr Dubrovin also said this:

Ayer a las 23:39
We apparently hold some advantage at the moment. Not sure why the terrorist leaders seem indisposed. Their tone sounds desperate. We need any and all information regarding this statement. Search your records and identify any past mention of terms located in this latest missive.

On Junko's Facebook, this are her latest posts:

You have no idea of our situation. We live in very different place. Stop being cruel.(((

Terminal is khozains quarters. We have no more access to window in courtesans quarters. Please do not waste time!

Goodbye.
----

Now that is being worried, don't you think? I believe we are very close. Now we got to find the data Mr Dubrovin speaks of. Any clues?

i don't understand why the Junsui insist that Gwashchemasch'e had a corner at the Dolmabahche Palace. I've already read in a number of places that while being married to Gwashchemasch'e, Abdulhamid II lived with her at Yildiz Palace, which is a completely different palace altogether?

a very good lead imo. i recall reading that the scarce was purchased and restored by a japanese corp. he the japanese still own the building......in turkey that would be very suspect. also i can confirm she had the corner room.

Doesn't take a genius. At the very least someone wants us to think that they're in that palace. Is this helpful, though?

Also: didn't Dubrovin say we should look into Patrick's associates? Some of our old meta-digging (WAS it meta? who knows anymore) might be a good place to start with that.

Between the palace and looking into his people we have some good leads. The race is on.

Edit:

Gwaschchemasch'e grew up in the Dolmabahche, if I remember correctly. She later moved away. The corner room she would have had in her youth, I guess?

Just for clarification's sake, what exactly are all of the five channels? The Facebooks... and what else?

Dubrovin told me, in clear terms, not to talk to Patrick. I don't know if this applies to any of Patrick's associates, but Patrick is off-limits for sure.

I didn't mean talk to him. I thought he told us to look into his associates. I can't find the message right now, though. Fuck, there are too many active threads to look through now. I read them and then I forgot what info came from what page of what thread.

"kitsune wa kakure te iru". the fox has been hiding. foxhole perhaps? fox's den? dark corner = fox hole?

We already figured that out, the "hiding" and "fox" clues pointed to the method used to steg the images. I'm talking about the 2 new pictures with the names "communion" and "openwindow."

On the subject of seventyseven.net, I remember when that whole thing was uncovered, and at the time I suspected that the name Won You was bogus. Do we have any confirmation that Won You is a real person with a somewhat ironic name? If we are supposed to check out P.M.'s associates then should we be following up on leads like this?

Which leads me to my next point which will contain Metagaming, strong language, and rage.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If the person behind Dubrovin thinks we aren't moving fast enough then, with all due respect, he can fuck himself. I don't agree that the lock puzzle was "blindingly obvious" as AAT put it, or the False Cage puzzle either. I think we have been doing fairly well so far given the fact that we CONSTANTLY have to worry about whether the leads we are being fed are OOG and could be very very bad to pursue. Like the North Korea crap. At the end of the day the same team is ostensibly behind all of this which makes me unappreciative of his tone IG or OOG. So don't get too down on yourselves or the team because I think we have been doing OK with what we have been dealt. Done ragin' now.

Playing devil's advocate here, it's borderline impossible to predict how "easy" or "difficult" any puzzle may be. My last game came to a screeching halt on a puzzle that I, at the time, thought was "easy".

Of course, that is no excuse for essentially calling your players stupid.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
PMs, I know you read this...

The reason my tone is bitter is because I deserve the right to basic commentary on this forum, and you should be expected to not throw these words back at me "in game".

At this point, I don't really care how my commentary here makes you feel. I think it's abundantly clear that you are pissing off a helluva lot of people with your theatrics. Criticizing me for being critical of this adventure, if anything, is only going to make me shout even louder.

As for the "seventyseven.net" site, it's got a long history on the Wayback Machine going back to early 2002. "Won You" appears as far back as 2004, so he is a "real" person (whether the name is a long standing pseudonym is another matter).

That's more like I was getting at. Won You is a real name, but it doesn't appear to be all that common. If he has been using it for a long time then I guess hes probably a legit person, but I still wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility that hes in on this in some way. Perhaps by hiding something on his site. I don't feel like it is very promising though.

Oh trust me, I never said we were moving at a slow rate... not once. Aside from an ARG like The Beast... this one has been moving quickly. I personally believe we've done very well with what we've been given so far, which is next to nothing to go off of at times.

Some things like the second .png file we truly did just look over a quick google search, and the false cage thing was blindlingly obvious... it was just an interestingly placed deception. (which we still found relatively quickly) With the IG stuff being "short of time" I can understand Dubrovin wanting faster results; however, (hopefully) we all have RL things we need to take care of as well...
