What's supposed to mean this? РЮЦЯ ! It is in the "Showstudio" page "http://www.showstudio.com/viewers/15854" is that even a language? i'm sure it's there for something...

hmm, seems that the source is:
"РЮЦЯ "

ETH is a letter. Those ? diamonds are actually hearts when displayed correctly.

More about Eth:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eth

another ICELANDIC reference!

Now, is it just me or does ®Ð look like a vague representation of the symbol we've seen on Gwasche's hand and on the A-T feed and in other places...

I'm totally inexperience with stegging, so has anyone tried changing the language of the keys, for example putting them in Japanese? Just my 2 cents here btw, but it seems like we are "missing the forest for the trees" again here. Like I said I am inexperienced with stegging, but if you have to find the program that was used to steg the images, it doesn't seem reasonable for the PM to expect us to try every stegging tool ever made, does it? Maybe researching the history was meant to point us toward a particular tool, method, or algorithm. Thoughts? I have a feeling that the picture names are relevant here.

The thought was that the prominent mention of the hardware the transmitters/receivers (the Junsui, presumably) were using would lead us to a particular tool/method/algorithm. Dubrovin's emphasis on checking different stegging tools based on their hardware along with the mention of Patrick's Apple computer is believed to be a clue. The history led us to the picture, and I don't really see what it has to do with stegging. The picture names could be relevant, though. Somebody should look into that (I would but I need to sleep now).

Also: didn't somebody try translating the keywords into japanese?

I'd like some more opinions...

I think it is a likely scenario. I have had the feeling for a week or 2 now. I stopped believing a long time ago that the Junsui were "friends" if you will with Junko. I'm not ready to say that MoT are the "good guys" here, but there is definitely more going on that we now, the Junsui are certainly not your typical protagonists, and I think your theory is entirely feasible. With all their talk about "sacrificing" people for an ancient ritual, I don't think letting them complete that ceremony will be good for anybody. They have never really stated the purpose of what they are doing. It's clear they need Junko and Rhea for something, but they never said what. It's funny too that they talk about that, and about sacrificing their comrades, and their followers never bat an eye.

Yes, that idea had popped into my head and I had asked if anyone was able to find them out.

What are the japanese words for revolution and expecting?
Maybe the japanese filenames are a hint... ?
I dunno, I'm grasping at straws here..

If this page isn't wrong, then...

Revolution (English) = Revolución (Spanish) = Kakumei (Japanese)

Quote:

kakumei「革命」revolución sci

But I can't find there "Expecting" or "Expect".

just in case we're not about to run into a facepalm....

we did notice that Mr. Romanenko suggested that he used the following Steganography program....

http://www.jrsoft.de/progs/jrsteganocl.zip

right?

EDIT: I apologize if I'm a little behind, my internet has been extremely intermittent.

A few of us have tried it to no avail, but I am not sure if anyone who actually knows what they are doing has tried it. I did try, and I didn't know how, so I am no help there.

Ditto. Perhaps someone with knowledge would have better luck? It seems to be all in german, so if someone spoke german, even better?

Yeah...my German is pretty spotty. As the saying goes I didn't use it, and I lost it.

To build on what I said earlier, do you think the way it the data was hidden has something to do with the word Fox? I tried finding a steg app with the word fox, no luck. Tried opening the image in both firefox and IE6, nothing.

Yeah, I had been trying for a while to no avail, to which i said "i just found out i suck at steg."

LOL

Although I have been really reading into everything AD_ has been saying, all of this is almost overwhelming. Right when I think I have something, it turns to nothing. But I keep trying to look for something "right in front of us".

I do doubt this is relevant at all, but early on when I'd come across kitsune.png, I stuck it in notepad, and this string jumped out at me, very near the top of the first "page":

Quote:
ûù8ÿñ8ùv7þv7ÿv;y¿›|»¾íFoxÞÝèy3x¿›}{X¾?,~

It's the only thing that doesn't look like absolutely random text (at least, right there at the top). It doesn't appear anywhere else in the text, but since the file size is so big, I haven't looked at it mich more than that. As I said, I really doubt it's relevant, but at this point, anything may help, and it did seem like a bit of a coincidence.

mamimi, i saw that as well, but i figured it was strictly coincidence, since there was literally nothing before that, nothing after, and nothing in the entire text that was anything more than "fox".
