Was this man at a circus?
Was he sane?
Was he trying to kill himself (obvious, but it doesn't hurt to make sure)?
Did the source of the sawdust kill him?
Was an animal a part of the cause of his death?
Was another human?
EDIT: Was he hanged?
Decapitated?

If he had found the sawdust, would he still have wanted to kill himself?
Was the sawdust in a high place, or in a place a small person wouldn't normally see?
EDIT: Disregard that, I forgot he was blind.
Did this other person want to kill him?
EDIT: Did the other person willingly help in the man's death?

So, we have a blind, circus dwarf who hanged himself but somebody else was involved.
Did this other person create the sawdust?
If so, did they create the sawdust by sawing something (not sure whether sawdust is, by definition, always the result of a sawing!)?
If so, did this other person know, that as a result of their sawing, the blind dwarf would hang himself?

Was he going to climb a ladder to hang himself?
Did someone saw the legs of the ladder?

The sawdust represents something that would make him not kill himself. He didn't see it, so he went right on suiciding. IS THIS CLOSE TO THE TROOF?

Is the following correct?
The midget had to kill himself for his own reasons. He had a friend tie a noose and hang it on whatever ceiling there was, and provided a stool. For some reason kicking the stool was impossible, so the friend sawed the legs off the stool. When the midget fell, he hanged. He didn't find the sawdust because he didn't hit the ground.

Very nice! So if he HAD found the saw dust it would be because he would have hit the ground because the rope broke/was too long which would not have killed him!
Brilliant.
