so, technically we still have just under 2 hours to work with.

Just because it's open doesn't mean that Won You (or whoever is there--it's not like we know) will wait there until 4 AM.

And I just called Moto... it closes at midnight.

or, if i may use Yuri's words:

Quote:
We need to think about this. If they didn't specify a time, how could they
have a handoff just tonight?

It has to be something waiting there for multiple days now, in the back or
at the bar.

assuming that he's/they're still there. it doesn't take long to order a drink, do your deed, and then get up and walk out.

Yuri told us that it was today. Dubrovin hinted it was "soon". Obviously, they must have some idea of the time that it'll occur.

Now Yuri drops this on us.

my intel (however unreliable) from the bartender said that nobody there was alone. they only have 14 tables there, so it's not a huge place. she said that everyone was engaged in conversation with at least 1 other person. i've seen pictures of this place. the bar has a decent view.

i mean, that means absolutely nothing if the timing was off, but considering our "get in there now" ordeal, it's a huge possibility that we missed at some point.

so it was either a really long face-to-face handoff (likely), or a really fast pickup (also likely, google says that reservations are not usually required)

To be clear, Yuri never said "today".

and stressed immediacy. you can interpret this how ever you want, i wont argue with you because it will not get us anywhere. i want this as bad as anyone else. i think ive proven that. but i digress...we need to proceed with some semblance of intelligence and professionalism....even if we fail.

those are simply my thoughts. proceed as you wish.

I don't see how you can say we were proceeding with any "semblance of intelligence and professionalism" when we just watched a drop opportunity pass us by without learning so much as whether or not it occurred.

i say [like i keep repeating]: we need to work on Won You.

his page is gaining importance, his name keeps showing up, we keep getting 77 references. i think he's about to get real prominent.

do you all think it would be wise to start a new thread about him? location, involvement, interwebz stuff (domain info, anything)

also we need to figure out how homeostatic plays into all of this.

we need to stay a step ahead. i think this last disaster proves it. if we weren't so excited about the site in italy, we might have caught this.

and probably even have had someone in new york.

but anyways. what do you all think is the next step? everyone knows what i think.

EITHER WAY... it's done. no use arguing over it.

we need to get to the next step. who's got ideas?

I think the drop would've led us to the next step, and that if the PM decides this isn't the end of the game for our side (which he hopefully will) then we will be given new information that will take us to the next step.

Also: I don't think we missed the drop necessarily. Urgency was stressed, yes, but the only reason everyone thought it was today (yesterday, technically) is because we figured it out today. If we'd figured it out yesterday the same thing would have happened, and the same applies to tomorrow as well. I think IF we have missed it, we'll be told so in some way. I'd bet we could still try it tomorrow/today (I hate not knowing what to do call the days when I'm up after midnight).

I say we make a thread for all previously-OOG characters.

In an AIM conversation I had with Won You, he mentioned that "people like Patrick" are now potentially IG.

I thought it was today because people like Yuri and Dubrovin kept stressing how we had 12 hours left.

i think you guys should listen more to what cma3 is saying about the handling of the situation, so far he's the only one contacting yuri and giving RATIONAL hints, think about it.

you've definitely got a point. we were pushed into freaking out today. but we have no intel on a time. do you guys think it could be out there somewhere floating in the interwebz?

if we can at least get some intel on a time, we can find out if we missed it, and if we didn't, we can work on getting a guy out there.

but we'll definitely know when yuri starts chewing ass. :\

you guys do what you want you want. i'm going to bed here in real world Very Happy

Did they actually say that? If they said 12 hours that would be a definite timeframe, but I haven't seen that said on here at least, nor on the MoT group.
