Why not? I don't get it. Surely it could be useful.

Because the person that also sent it to me sincerely asked for my complete confidence in the information and asked me not to disclose it before it needed to be disclosed.

As of right now, it still does not need to be disclosed.

I decided it was time to chime in.

Per the fundraising effort, I would ask players to consider the following:

1. Why would Patrick use an IG Facebook account to solicit donations when he could use his own?
2. The WordPress account has 1 post; no established credibility.
3. The contact e-mail is at Patrick's web design firm Homeostatic which, despite the fact that it appears to be legitimate (according to Google cache), is currently in a rather dubious state. This decreases credibility for his fundraising campaign.

Note the similarities between the ARG and the funraising campaign. The ARG employs maternal themes (and the purity/sanctity thereof). Despite the incoherent ramblings of Junko, the ARG evokes sympathy for the Junsui group through the oppression of an obscure Russian paramilitary group.

Is it not highly suspicious that just as the ARG seems to be gaining momentum and a steady fanbase, one of the PMs just "happens" to have a friend (a mother, no less) in Russia, in some dire circumstances and in immediate need of cash. Yes the story is tragic, but if it were of such great importance to Patrick/PMs, I think they would call off the ARG to save their friend's life instead of using it as a tool to garner support for a well-placed fundraising campaign.

This is already an ARG that seems to defy many established norms of the genre, so I would encourage you all to be extremely cautious with this recent development.

Of course, if anyone sees things differently, please share your views/thoughts on the matter.

- V

Well Valentin, you have good reasons and i agree with you. By the way, this seems like a sensitive matter, i doubt nobody would use a personal tragedy like this, because he know the resolve the people on this forum has, he also knows we are 95% of the people playing his game. If he used something like that as a "clue" i his game, i bet most of us here would quit playing.
Also, and this is just subjective, i wrote this:

Quote:
Juan Carlos Ruz Morales
Damn, this is sad. I understand this is OOG. Sorry to hear it,hope you collect what you need soon. I'll do what i can, i'm neck-deep on this crisis too. Good luck for you and Anna.

And i got a brief answer that doesn't really fit the "junsui" alter ego:

Quote:
Junko Junsui
Thank you for understanding.

I just doubt this is IG, it's just that Marckesano is pulling every string he has, and while this is not the best or most coherent way to do things, he used his game as a resort.

Didn't find anything besides some blogs of persons with the same name. I'm terribly sorry, but could you tell me what it has to do with the car accident?

On "Medicine for Anna" page:
Quote:

She is a designer like me, specifically an architect who attended the technical university of Nizhny Novgorod

Universities are not too picky with information. Someone in Russia could make a call and make sure she exists and she actually needs help, but i think this is going far. This time I believe Marckesano.

How about starting a new thread? We should organize what we have so far. If i'm not wrong, it's just the picture and the 7 numbers. Maybe the steg doesn't works on the posted file because sometimes servers modify them, so, was it you Steve who had the original? Try with the same steg tool we used last time, the mozilla plugin.
BTW is it just me or the woman in the bed is on missionaire possition? ...or maybe she's "giving birth", that would fit the name of the file, "Conception", which could be a clue itself. So, the woman to the left, would be a "matron"?
Just speculating. Brainstorming, whatever.

EDIT: Sorry! I just noticed she's upside down Laughing

the snapshot was taken and sent within seconds, i don't believe it could have been stegged with something in SL and sent that way. it has to do with what's in the room and the name of the file itself.

the junsui have also listed the file name itself on their FB so that is the clue.

Oh ok, i know little of SL, and I understood the picture was just a file she sent, not a screenshot made that very moment. The picture on the right up corner is gwaschemasch'e, right? But we have already collected many information about her. The guy sitting and smoking was you? Could you explain (again) how was the situation there?

The junsui domain is now hosted on a nginx server, the main domain is Apache, which explains the different errors

I *can't* update Yuri even if I wanted to; I'm blocked from the group and from contacting him directly.

ETA: One thing I just noticed... http://junsui.shineisei.jp/ has a DIFFERENT 404 page now, a different one than the traditional one (which can still be seen on http://shineisei.jp/). Maybe Yuri mentioning it being a "directory" is a step in the right direction?
