But not with the usual photoshops (well one sort of).

Now some of you may know that in addition to occasionally popping in and posting where's wally slendy pics(shameless self promotion here: http://fennius.deviantart.com/gallery/29693951 Very Happy

) I also like to cosplay him at conventions. (Most of you are probably thinking 'who the hell is this' instead though). Well for the last London Film and Comic con I decided to up my game a bit, and appeared on the Friday and Saturday with Iconic legion, like thus:

and I can honestly say that awful pain from supporting my body weight on those front stilts for hours at a time aside, that was some of the most fun I've had at a convention.

what really helped sell the costume, making it better in reality than it is in these pics - was the motions. I didn't just walk around like a person, I spent half the time practically spider walking. When you're in this costume you don't just have an excuse to be as absolutely creepy as possible you have an obligation. A very very fun obligation. somehow despite making clacking noises whenever I walked I was able to continuously sneak up on people and wait for their friends to tell them not to look round. Cue inevitable heart attack.

I made a grown man scream like a little girl and run away from me. Not just nervously backing off or quickening of the pace, which is what normally happens, this guy full on pegged it. Very Happy

Anyway, as an extra, here's an edited pic and video of my first attempt at walking in it (tentacles not properly put on as it was a test) - my final 'walk' was slower and more hunched:

Corvus, I have to take my hat off to you over that cosplay dude. I just lost my phone, and one of my first thoughts was legitimately "oh man, I should have backed up my pictures, I've lost the shot of me flipping off slendy at LFCC." I reckon it looked even better irl than it did in those pictures.

I've done artwork for EMH a few times, including a logo and poster which hangs in the boys house, but I've completed work on a logo for MLA, and am nearly finished with one for TT. Anyway, this is it, and for those wondering, I was never actually here! lol
