[META] The Junsui, 4chan, uF, and you Handling uF as an unfortunately in game territory, the Junsui posting and destroying our thread and evidence, 4chan, trolls, and much more.
Discuss.

I think it kills the purpose of the game itself. We should re-affirme the OOT nature of this forum. Otherwise, put a password on puzzle threads and open a non-password thread for newcomers, so they can prove somehow that they wanna play. That's the best i can think of right now.
And sorry if i sound like an all timer of the forum. I know i'm new to this, but i really like the community here and would hate it to see it go wrong.

The same here..
This is my first ARG and besides the fact that i've readed almost everything, the norms, the rules etc.. i'm still learning.. and the way i move is kindly messy..
I started playing totally neutral, just because i was curious. i'll keep playing in that way!

I agree. Let's reaffirm this as OOG, and as simply a discussion board, working toward whatever it is we're working towards...

While that would be nice, I'm not so sure how much the uF mods would agree.

I don't think uF should expect to be a "sanctuary" in any way. It's as public as any other site, and while I'm for it being off-limits, I don't think it's a realistic goal.

I really don't think there's any way to really DEAL with these issues...
It's unfortunate, but we're still going to have people coming here and stealing uF's finds.
And if we do somehow password certain things, or make a private forum, you're going to alienate a lot of new people that are genuinely interested in this.
I know that when I first started reading the Trailhead, and a private forum was made, I wasn't planning on registering on this site or even participating in the ARG.

No offense but the only reason to say that is that it happened this time. Locking up this forum would be making a deal with the devil. If you do it once then it becomes expected. I say no deals, no concessions. This site has existed a lot longer than this one ARG, and I don't feel like letting them set that unfortunate precedent would be constructive for anyone.

Absolutely Obfuscatus!
uF has gone to a lot of trouble to be absolutely CLEAR about the rules of the forum. It is STRICTLY OOG. Full Stop. There will be no negotiation. We will not let them obfuscate ( pun intended! I couldn't help it! ) the terms of service.

I agree that uF should remain out of game - the nice part of it in the long run? /b/ has an attention span measureable in hours. the people that arrive here and stay are probably going to stick around, which means more help for future games. it's annoying for the time being, but carries a *lot* of potential down the road.
