Has anyone tried sending that in?

I had a theory that maybe the code somehow had to do with all of the locations mentioned on Craig's blog so I sent iris a question about it. Unfortunately I got the same response as everyone else.

Here's what I'm wondering. Everytime we email IRis she always give's us back a relay number that's been used to process our answer. I wonder if we can manually assign relay's to our questions and get them back faster, so IRis doesn't have to process all these queries through one relay.

I'll fire off an email and get back to you guys.

EDIT:

I think Alex just did.

Okay so after getting so many "currentrelayoverload" messages from IRis, I started looking into her "relay" system. It's almost like we're being assigned a process. So I quieried her:

Quote:
QUERY

list relay
relay manual assign = TRUE OR FALSE

And she got back to me with:
Quote:
Query.Queued
Please.Wait.............................................................
//retrying//
Query.Accepted
Assigned:relays77837:644676
PROCESSING. . . . . . .

"list relay" = //truncated//1-8633451

PROCESSING. . .

"relay manual assign = TRUE OR FALSE" = TRUE

So she has approx. 8633451 relays to use and we can manually assign relay numbers. After thinking this over and thinking that IRis is just like any old computer, some processes must be used specifically for her to keep running, so not all relay's are usable by us to ask questions. So again, I queried:

Quote:
list accessible relays

And she replies with:

Quote:
Query.Accepted
Assigned:relay73637
PROCESSING. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

"list accessible relays" = //currentrelaystatus//accuracy.0000000183sec//

*print*

Notice the jumps in the relays we can manually assign her for question. Those have to be specific files that keep IRis in proper working order.

Anyways, I suggest we all pick a relay and send our query's into that relay only, so we don't get any more of those "currentrelayoverload" messages.

Good work there Ryutso. I'll send all my queries via relay 768.

I imagine there are enough relays so we don't all send to the same, but I'll start a list anyway just so everyone can keep track.

I don't really see how three digit area codes, or a combination of those with five digit zip codes, could combine in any logical way to equal a 14 digit passcode. I could be wrong though...

I couldn't really either, but I figured it was worth a try to look at any data left on Craig's blog since it was hinted several times that Craig is the one who left the numbers for the authorization code.

I've been reading Craig's blog, and I just had a few thoughts I wants to share, in case they jog something for someone...

First, there are a lot of references to Liz and her death, becoming less subtle with every post. My bet continues to be that the passcode will somehow relate to her.

If it doesn't, though, there are also a lot of repeated references to La Grande Jatte. He mentions it in his last "living" post, which reads like a suicide note and also is titled "Dieses Ist Das Ende", which I assume is German for "This is the end." He then ends the next post the same way, in a way that has always struck me as looking like some kind of hint:

Quote:
I dare not be obvious or Ipswich will destroy my final - and greatest - plan.

I am depending on you. Shanna is depending on you.

I just pray that whoever you are...you are clever enough to help.

This is the end.

Then he describes the painting in the most recent post:
Quote:
I sit and look upon those bright and colorful denizens of a time gone by, captured forever in their outdoor repose by a masterful brush, and wonder what pains those individuals encountered. What dreams they held that dissipated like whisps of smoke as life crushed in around them. Was that day on the grass truly care-free? I wish I was there with them. I can almost hear the children, the water lapping at the shore and the proper giggles of the young women.

It's almost like a cluebat, all that repetition...I just wish I knew what for.

Finally, it's now clear from the posts that Craig deliberately overdosed on...what exactly? Don't we have a picture of all of his possessions? What did he take?

Following up on jessie1326's post, I'd like to point out a few things about Craig's blog:

1. All of Craig's posts have been in prose and titled in English save the one dated Wednesday November 11 which appears to verse and is titled in German:
Quote:
Wednesday, November 11, 2009
Dieses Ist Das Ende
All is lost, I count nothing as gained;
The plans I built with such sweet intensity;
Have crushed and fallen through my fingers;
Like the leaves from the trees of La Grande Jatte;
The last thing I shall see.

Craig has never struck me as having the soul of a poet. His post the day Shanna died was very matter-of-fact. Furthermore, his latest post (January 17) is also matter-of-fact and it appears to have been written shortly before his suicide. Therefore, I believe that the November 11 post is somehow a significant clue and the key to determining the auth code. As to what it means, I haven't the foggiest. The first line may be a riddle of some sort.

2. The reference to "La Grande Jatte" (literally "the large platter" in French), as has been already pointed out in this thread, appears to be a reference to George Seurat's painting "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte - 1884" (En Francais: "Un dimanche après-midi à l'Île de la Grande Jatte - 1884"). However, Seurat also painted "Die Insel La Grande Jatte mit Ausflüglern, 1884" (German for "The Island of La Grande Jatte with tourists, 1884"). Same setting, slightly different crowd. I bring up this painting for two reasons: (a) Craig refers vaguely to "La Grande Jatte", a descriptor which could refer to either painting equally; (b) the title of the post is inexplicably in German, as is the title of the "with tourists" painting (Seurat was French). This could be a subtle hint that Craig is actually referring to the "with tourists" painting. On the other hand, Craig's January 17 post refers to "that day on the Grass" and "children" which suggests that he means the more famous "Sunday Afternoon" painting. If so, then perhaps "Sunday Afternoon" is relevant?

3. All posts after November 11th (presumably the day Craig died) are "scheduled" posts. Which, whatever else that entails, strongly suggests that the dates and times of the posts have purpose and perhaps meant to convey something to us.

I don't what any of this ultimately means or how it fits together or how it relates to the 14 digit code or how..., but I was hoping that by pointing it out, it might spur some flash of brilliance from someone out there in unfictionland.

Cheers

Curiouser and curiouser. It turns out that the French word, "Jatte", can be translated as "basin" or "bowl". And therefore, "La Grande Jatte" could be translated as "The Large Bowl". Is IRIs' hint a reference to the painting?

Cheers

Very interesting... you definitely may be on to something there. Maybe each line of the "poem" is a riddle? Hmmm...

As for the "scheduled" notes on the posts, I've always interpreted that as an indication that they were scheduled and written in advance -- since he knew he would be dead by now.

Yeah, but if the posts were merely scheduled and written in advance, then you would think that they would be in chronological order. On Jan. 3, Craig starts his post by saying he's dead; then, on Jan. 11, he says he's still dead; but, on Jan. 17, he, having taken a lethal dose of something, writes that he is waiting to die. Must be a hidden message of some sort or else the Jan 17 post would have been scheduled first. Or if they were scheduled in reverse chronological order, then the Jan. 11 post would be first. Scheduling implies some sort of deliberation, does it not? And if there was deliberation, then the odd order of the messages must have some meaning. Just sayin'.

Cheers.

That certainly could be. I've just not read much into it because I figure he was writing them all at the same time just before his death/OD.

I hear you. Given that this puzzle is going nowhere fast, I'm just trying to give what we have shake hoping that something will fall out. I think this kind of dialogue is the only way we'll be able to piece this one together.

Cheers.

Okay so I remembered that sometime back, someone said that a combination of some date (or Room number) and Craig's phone number would make a 14 digit combo. So I tried this:

Quote:
QUERY

CraigRogers Phone.Number
CraigRogers Date.Death

Got back:
Quote:
Query.Accepted
Assigned:relays766:92456
PROCESSING. . . . . . . . .

"CraigRogers Phone.Number" = **Record.Inaccessible**//autosecurityalertactivated//

PROCESSING. . .

"CraigRogers Date.Death" = 11-11-2009

//autosend//

Well this proves two things.
1) Craig's username was his whole name. Anyone wanna guess Fred's? Twisted Evil

2) Some records are locked down unless we get that code.

Well after that, I figured I might as well try something:
Quote:
QUERY

AUTHORIZATION CODE give.hint

And got nothing:

Damn. That code could be used to free you from where ever you are.

There's a password that I and a couple of my friends have been told to find. We're told that Craig and Shanna left it behind. Any possible hints?
