Just to keep the discussion rolling, I seem to recall that "Fred Ipswitch" isn't his full name. That nondisclosure agreement Craig gave us (before we knew much about "Fred") listed as the other party to the agreement "F. William Ipswitch" or something...

Also, the "for more information" link leads to a Donnie Darko forum. I don't know anything about Donnie Darko, and I didn't play I'm Sorry-- can someone explain the relevance (if any)? Smile

Huh! Donnie Darko was referenced throughout I'm Sorry (the faceless Watchers were generally represented by Frank); it also began to sum up the game as a whole. The characters as "real" people were also characters in the book that Bricker wrote, so the idea was that any of the actions by the "real" people were already predetermined by what Bricker had written years before, much in the same way that Donnie's fate was sealed when he has his first meeting with Frank.

Err, if that makes sense! I think that's what it eventually came down to, anyway. Maybe some of you other veterans can help me out here if I'm getting it wrong. Anyway, what I don't get now is why it's being brought up again in this game. My best guess is that Bricker's delibrately trying to get us to think of I'm Sorry again, for reasons I don't understand...

I've no idea if the Donnie Darko reference is to make us take I'm Sorry into account, or if there is a real clue in the movie/something with the movie itself. As for a clue from the movie, all I could find after a little quick research was the numbers "28:06:42:12" from the movie.

Remember that huge freaking cluebat about the bikers chasing the RV? Maybe this is a subtle cluebat referencing that cluebat.

Just from my POV those bikers are damn hard to catch in my RV.

I wanted to throw a couple things out that might be food for thought.

First in his 1/17 blog post Craig talks about Elizabeth who he met in Spring of 1989. It is somewhat cliche to say that many use significant dates for passwords but I will be cliche. Could be this is BD or the date they met, anyone remember something like this? We know she died in 99 from the headstone page could be realted to this. Shanna I THINK was 15 so that puts her bd in 94.

They met whn she was looking a lecture on French involvement in the American Revolution. So we've got the whole French thing there again. He also mentions her wearing a Cure tshirt which could just a natrual description but still we are grasping here. I don't know much about them just that there are from Southern England.

He says he is dying looking at the painting which could be either of the Seurats. If he is actually looking at the potrait then he is in the Art Institute of Chicago, both are there. Unlikely since this is just 3 days afer Shanna's death. There is also a mural in the Mall of America of course he could just be "looking" at it in his mind. It could be the lat and long of those locations. It could also be the long and lat of the actaul Grande Jette.

Finally there have been a number of things in the source code that seem to lead no where yet. Tartkower, Prince Hal, The quote from Henry V and the long and lat of the Staybridge Suites although that is probably where they died. We have also had "assemble the pieces to save them all". And "the abode of the dead contains a large bowl" which may refer to the Grande Jette, Tartarus or Avernus. BUt also I found that Hades was also software and seems to relate although I really think in may be a coincidence but there are some similarities.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HADES_(software)

One thing to keep in mind, I think, is that the auth code should not logically be the place where Shanna died or anything related to recent events he said he didn't want to upset his plans and therefore the code would have had to have been in place before now.

The mural at the Mall of America does not exist anymore so we can probably count that out.

We don't seem to conclusively know where Craig died. I was under the impression he was in California, at least at the time of Shanna's death. Perhaps he went to Chicago from there? Or La Grande Jatte? Unless there is a copy of the painting somewhere in California....

If that's the case, it needs moar cluebat. ): This is less of motorbikes chasing an RV and more like kids on trikes trying to catch up with a rocketship. This is flying so far ahead and beyond us already!

Hum... because I'm consistently behind in this game, someone help me out here: has anyone tried Seurat's birth and death date yet? Minus unnecessary zeroes, it makes a fourteen-digit number: 21 21 85 92 93 18 91 (2 December 1859 – 29 March 1891). Otherwise, man. I don't even freakin' know. /throws cards in

Has anyone had any further contact with IRIs/Elizabeth? My recent emails sent approx. 1 week ago have gone unanswered. Are we too late to do whatever it was we were supposed to do?

Cheers

I received 3 auth code rejects today on "guesses" I sent today. I have now reached 15 tries. Today's 3rd reject had this line added:

Quote:
//securitythreshold=0//autoreboot//

So I'm not sure I'll get more tries.

Today I tried sending the decimal locations of La Grande Jette and the Staybridge Suite (since it was in the source). There was some rounding involved and I wasn't sure which to put first long or lat so they easily could be the right ideas just not the right order. I sent:

Authorization: >37372321219111<Authorization>3737232.121911<Authorization>4889556.226861<

So I had a thought after I was sent these that possibly the 60 on the site could refer to base60 so maybe sending the actual long and lat of the grande jette or someplace else could be the right thing to do.

But I like Classical's idea too.

I am going to fire off some more and see if they get through.

I got immediate bouncebacks upon sending.

I also sent a few about a week ago that have not gotten replies.

I'm really running low on ideas, too. Confused We've just got so much information, it's hard to know what we're "supposed" to be looking at.

Seems we've met a dead end. And this early on, too.. I really don't know what the code could be.

My emails keep getting bounced, so I'm unable to submit possibilities. I have a few theories based on Craig's Nov. 11 post, but no way to test any of them. Because sunshinemine15.com hasn't changed in quite some time (not even the music), I can't tell whether this game has imploded or the PMs are just waiting for us to stop being dense. Nonetheless, even if I could figure out the code, I have no way of submitting it. It appears that all of us are having this same problem. I'm hoping that this silence is temporary, but, until we receive some sign that this game lives, I'm going to have to go back to lurking (which is a shame really because this game was pretty cool and, if I understand it correctly, was just beginning to "heat up in 2010").

Cheers
