The reason why "This is not the path" points to the forum is to rope in all the new players that will result because of the show premiering.

The new fans go to "the sect" website, get the shimmering letter clues and then go to www.thisisnotthepath.com

so from there, they are directing them to the forum. Now that we've unlocked the forum once more, we can press on.

-Matt

p.s. for new players who haven't unlocked the forum, go back a couple pages on this thread and you'll see the answer.

Almost certainly nothing, but I found this picture on flickr that has both "vector" and "fugitive" tags.

Just an example of things we could be trying.

Also, it is possible that the "when I die..." sentence is just another anagram.

They like anagrams a lot.

I'm afraid I'm chasing a Red Herring, but that line in the fugitive was spoken by the actor Joe Pantoliano playing Cosmo Renfro. He's perhaps most famous for playing Cypher in "The Matrix."

I was just wondering--since I don't have a copy of the movie myself to check--just how much of the quote is spoken in the movie? All of it? Is there perhaps more to it?

If you have a netflicks account, you can watch it online. It's about 50 min. into the movie.

The exact back and forth is:

Renfro: "Sammy, when I die I want to come back just like you."

Gerard: "Happy and Handsome?"

Someone: "I'll notify the press"

Gerard: "No press"

Someone: "Right no press"

Then everyone leaves, and Gerard mumbles something I can't hear, but I think he says "mumble mumble Chicago." In the film they are tracking Harrison Ford, whom they just found out was back in Chicago.

Maybe we're supposed to wait for another clue? But it would seem silly to have us solve a puzzle just to a dead end message from Siegfried.

What are we missing?

Also, the fact that the line is from The Fugitive might be a complete coincidence.

I think the biggest clue to focus on is "Picture this."

Obviously, "picture" is the hint with it's intended double meanings.

Photograph? Motion picture? Famous paintings?

I've checked various keywords like "vector" "Fugitive" and "Seigfried" on Deviantart and photobucket, but... nothing. Do you think perhaps we need to keep looking at the first clue of this round, the Mabalo Lokela or Ebola? Maybe we should be doing more research on those instead of the Fugitive?

I think you're on to something. Let's try word associations with "picture":

Drawn Picture
Picture Perfect
Picture frame
Photo Negative
Snapshot
Art
Camera

Ok. I posted some things hoping to squeeze some more clues out of them. I really want to avoid having to email Jerry if at all possible. It was definitely awesome to get those emails, but I want to see if we can muscle through this one without "jerry's" help. We'll see though. I might sit down and actually watch all of "the fugitive" if I can't think of anything else. It is a really good movie.

I GOT IT!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
mjm4gx - I looked closer at the Fugitive. The guy gets "FRAMED". Which, relates to "Picture This". (Picture frame!)

Who is that?

the letters circled are an anagram of 'shadow'. I figure it means shadow from the riese forum, but are we meant to email him or look for clues in his posts??
