That could fit into the part of Skye's post that wasn't a Bible verse--"For those on their path, they shall fear you as long as the Sonne and Lune endure, throughout all generations."

Well, a vector in physics/math is any directional measurement.

There are scaler measurements and vector measurements. For instance:

Speed is a scaler measurement. A car traveling in any direction at 20 miles per hour is traveling at a speed of 20 miles an hour.

Velocity is a vector measurement. Depending on where your origin point on a map, a car traveling at 20 miles an hour might have a velocity of +20 miles an hour or -20 miles an hour. It depends on its direction.

Because of all the talk of paths, that's why I keep coming back to "Venus" since it traces a star path in the sky. I don't really know what to do with it though.

Libra is the 7th astrological symbol
Taurus is the 2nd
Leo is the 5th

especially if you go by this image:

Cancer does seem to denote the sects front story.
I tried centrum/center/centre in the not the path but did not get anywhere.

would 'the circle goes around' be part of the puzzle

Might Help

Hey guys,

This link explaining the Zodiac might help us out. It's a circular chart with explanation.

P.S. The more I think about it, the more I think we need to focus our efforts. We have so much stuff going we should rethink our position.

I now think the Venus thing is moot. The only reason we were thinking Venus is because of the number 5. It's a loose connection. Particularly if the 72:5 combo was just supposed to direct us to the Zodiac.

I also think my "moon sign" of Taurus is not the answer.

I think the MOST significant thing is that the author was born on a cusp between Sun-ruled and Moon-ruled zodiac signs. I mean, that can't be a coincidence. Cancerleo. Maybe another anagram?

Anagrams, IMO, seem to be mostly names. If that's it then the anagrams solvers are probably not going to help. Should it be a name related to Cancer or Astrology?

I don't know if we should discount the four zodiac symbols. I'm of the opinion that there are no such thing as coincidences and there are too many for me to ignore. I find it curious the imagery is Lion and Bull balancing on a scale.

It seem logical to me that cancer refers to VECTOR to let us know we are on the right track in that Libra, Taurus, and Leo correlate to 7-2-5 in there position on the zodiac. I also find it a coincidence that they each relate to one of the four elements - Libra/air; Taurus/earth; Leo/fire; Cancer/water.

Granted that we can't narrow all the information down into on word that will get us to the next clue is problematic. But I'm still looking...

What would ptolemy do?

Found a different goddess of justice, thanks to a story a friend of mine wrote.

Astraea, the goddess of Justice. She became the constellation Virgo, which lies between Leo and Libra.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astraea_(mythology)

I've tried plugging her name into thisisnotthepath, but so far, nothing.

And other Justice goddesses...
Themis, the mother of Dike http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Themis
Lady Justice, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Justice
also known as Dike http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dike_(mythology)
and "Injustice" Adikia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adikia

Just thinking more about that Justice clue...

Or maybe the clue isn't "justice," but the book the quotation was from, or the author. Of course, the constellation thing seems significant...There are just so many coincidences! I feel that we really need another clue. I was hoping one would pop up on Skye's user profile.

Matt, think you could mail Jerry again? I think we've run out of leads.

I did... Sad

a couple of days ago. For the first time, he hasn't responded...

Maybe if a fresh voice reached out to them it would communicate how much we need a clue to continue the game.

I really feel that another clue is justified. After all, we figured out the "framed" clue without any additional hints and the patient zero clue with only one additional hint.

But this challenge is just so vague. We have a bible passage (with the corresponding bible passage numbers), a quote from a book, and instructions to watch the stars...I DON'T KNOW!!!!

I really hope we pull out of this dry patch, but in case we don't...

It was a lot of fun guys. This was the most involved I have ever been in an ARG. I really felt that we were part of a great team.

Later,
Matt

Hey CommanderKiri,

Sorry about the MIA'ness of the ARG, unfortunately with production happening and then the holidays, it was difficult to find time to get updates out. You're all actually on track - you've discovered the article and Shadow's mysterious death. The next piece is ready to be released, unfortunately we've all been on holiday/in production so there's been no one to update it!

Once the New Year rolls around it will be kicking back into full swing, however. Seigfried's story will be wrapping up, so new people can join in as well.

Thanks for sticking with it!

Wait, if Seigfried's story is wrapping up, does that mean that we'll see new people's stories?
