Since Martin Aggett had been hanging out in DC over this past week, I decided to invite him down to Fredericksburg to catch a meal with some friends of mine and me. I wasn't sure if I would be able to get him down here since it is quite a drive. I had a weird experience walking towards him as he sat on one of the campus benches at Mary Washington.

Like Disza I had this just very normal conversation with him over a dinner. I tried to keep the conversation focused on his past and interests. His father left him the camera that he currently uses. He also does not have too many memories about his past, but apparently as time goes on his memories grow more clear and distinct.

Another important aspect to him is the nature of his relationship with his creator. We talked about how he must negotiate with his creator. Whenever we started to talk about his more fictional aspects, I noticed that he started to get evasive and wanted to move the topic to something else. Someone in my group tried very hard to press him on what it meant to be a fictional character and how his past related to being fabricated. Sadly enough, this just didn't go anywhere.

His complete love of all things sweet is apparent. He drank an orange n' cream soda which of course was his preference brand: Stewarts. To top the evening off we all split a peanut butter and chocolate pie with a small reese's cup. The cup prompted a discussion about his love of frozen reese's and waiting for just the center to sort of thaw out. Okay yes, extraneous details, but I tried to make a mental note of everything he mentioned.

I tried to find out more about his photography work, this went as far as him working for a "client" and not being able to release any of his photos for them with is flickr account being mostly pictures taken with his iPhone. He uses his job with these clients to fund trips to locations he would not necessarily be able to go as a photographer. For instance right now he is NYC but stated that he wouldn't be able to do any photo work because there were so many other, cheaper photographers. Keep in mind that his sideline project is to find dead drops wherever he goes.

He's also apparently looking for facilitators to help with his game and clues. I got a small box with a little slip of paper, need to post up a picture of it!

I highly recommend getting to know him, it's a good process.

Ive read this thread and im still lost XD,
but isnt the creation of a character with the absence of a story to exist in before hand the same thing as Role playing, maybe im not sure exactly whats going on but this is intresting none the less..

I haven't seen Martin on Facebook lately. Is this ARG still on-going?
