I think it may be one of his earlier attempts at catching the Slender Man in the act. From what I can tell, it happens before 11; No hand-drawn pictures anywhere.

I think you're right, it's an earlier event.

Something like this happening would tip you over the edge.

Alex would have looked at the footage, seen what happened and gone to more drastic measures.

Perhaps in a malaised stupor between changing the tape and starting to record the next, sometime between those cut thirty-two minutes and when the feed restars, Alex rewound his tape to see why the door was open.

The shock/fright kept him awake with the camera focused on him until his alarm went off, signaling him to begin work.

Also, I know this may sound weird, but are we sure this is the same guy who played Alex before? Is it a definite ID, or is this a new actor?

My theory was that, after those 32 minutes, where Alex "changes tapes," Alex may have stopped recording, rewound to find out what opened his door, and then put the next tape in to focus on himself, so that if anything happened to him again, it would be on camera.

Something I noticed;

Alex would pretty much have to notice the blood on his face. I've had head trauma and could feel the blood running down my face, you'd have to be in a trance or something NOT to feel it.

Medically speaking, it's entirely possible whatever clobbered him may have fractured a bone. In this case, he could be suffering from parasthesia, causing his face to feel like the flesh is crawling. This could allow him to not feel the blood moving down his face.

Ah, but if he feels the parasthesia, he'd feel the skin crawling, so he'd wonder what it is and most likely go look in a mirror.

.... It doesn't matter, it was just something I tossed out there.

Wellll... You have a point...

Most people get it from sleeping weird, but usually in order for the face to be numb, a bone has to be broken. So, likely a skull fracture or broken nose. I'm going with skull fracture.

But if your face was numb or the skin was crawling, wouldn't your first instinct be to touch it. Then he'd have blood on his hands and would know his head was bleeding.

Not trying to be a jerk, I just think we're getting a little off track if we come at this assuming the creators expect us to look up parasthesia (or to go trough census records looking for the last name Kralie for that matter) and diagnose Alex's condition.

A few things struck me as odd. First, he is sleeping in his cargo shorts. Why no regular sleeping clothes? Second, he is already bleeding when he gets up to check the door. Would he not see blood on his pillow? You can check out stills of the video as he is getting out of bed and see the blood rather clearly.

Honestly, his bleeding when he first gets up is not as bad as afterward. There's only a single streak of blood on the right side of his face [facing the camera] in those stills, while thirty two minutes later, he's bleeding profusely from all over.

I don't know about you people, but I stop bleeding after five or six minutes.
