References to Chicago

As far as we know, Metacortex's headquaters (where are main characters are) is in Redland, WA. Chicago is another city whose name has appeared several times in the game. I don't know why.
Let's catagorize any references to Chicago in this thread, and see what we can come up with.

Phillip Gairden said that all PRJ manuscripts should follow the Chicago Manuel of Style, 15th ed.

Dina (author the new mp3 appearing in Beth's metadex) that I believe refers to the first paintover pic/thenekodas) is from Chicago --says Surferstick. Dina ties beth, wongmo, and leiphe.[/i]

The pic of the passports in Phil's metadex said that the Niehoffer dude was flying out of Chicago.

Also, for those of you who don't know, Chicago is the hometown of the Wachowski brothers. The street names in the Matrix are all Chicago streets and stuff... plus the "Loop" train. So this Chicago thing in the ARG may be a tribute. Not to say that it isn't also a clue...could easily be both.

Also, the Hotel InterContinental is in Chicago... (good times, good times) But I think we proved that to be unimportant... lol

The incident log directory is posted with time stamps exactly -8 hours from the events taking place in Greece, so that would put these logs on a system in the Chicago timezone.

Example: The first incident took place at 7:30 hours October 8, 2003 in Greece, but the log is from October 7, 2003 at 23:30 hours.

He might have just said that because that is a very commonly accepted standard. That's what I had to use for some of my classes (but an earlier edition).

Oh, and Wix tried to match the logs that our friends Caesar & Co. were discussing; I think he mapped one of the server locations as Chicago: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/files/781_1066414780.jpg
