 		Okay, so this gives us some backstory on the guy. This man who is kidnapping the girls was once marreid to this his wife Moira. One day Moira got a tattoo and this man was instantly outraged (him being one of strict holiness) believing she had defiled her body. She refused to apologize after the man yelled and he soon noticed Moira becomes more distant.

He then seems to go mad after seeing Moira cheating on him with another man and blames the butterfly as the demon. He seems to preparing for an exorcism as he says he is about to free her.

 		ok, seems pretty obvious there's posession going on here, but is it the girls or the person writing the old journals? I'm guessing this guy got posessed and relives his madness once a year as the dates are similar between each event.

Problem is, we're not getting much on how to help, only on background. If anyone has any ideas, let them be known.

Well we are not sure if there is truly possession in this yet. AS far as the guy, he dosent seem possessed, just driven to madness by his cheating wife and he turned to the only possible solution in his mind; religion. It seems he feels the demons have invaded his wife and it is his job to react.

As far as the girls and Moira, just because the man is recreating an exorcism does not mean that, for instance, Moira was actually posessed. There is a good chance that he may have went through the process only because Moira was unhappy with the relationship.

We may just be dealing with a psycho who feels it is his job to "free" people when they have gotten the butterfly tattoo.

But we cant assume any of this.

 		but the two styles of handwriting suggest some form of posession, the journals suggest they are written by one man and two sets of handwriting is definitely a sign of either posession or madness. Either way, we're dealing with a disturbed individual who knows what they're doing.

I agree. It seems quite likely that his deeply entrenched religious beliefs led him to ascribe his wife's unhappiness and unfaithfulness to demonic possession as a coping mechanism; i.e., "She can't be unhappy because of ME, it must be the devil!" Then shock, sadness, and betrayal at her cheating led him to a psychotic break (hence the change in handwriting) and to act against her "possession" and its apparent source, the evil butterfly tattoo. So he (I'm assuming, although this may not be true) "removed" the offending tattoo from her body, killing her in the process (again - I'm assuming here, but it seems likely) and set out to rid the world of the demon by finding other girls/women with the tattoo.


Erm...that may be a little too much psychobabble/speculation. To summarize: I think the guy's a nutjob. Very Happy
