[D9] District 9 and Multi-National United (trailhead)
A new ARG here?

I went digging through some pictures from Comic Con this year, and there was a bathroom sign that was kinda interesting....

Sauce: Rooster Teeth Production's user Cechmanek(You need a Roosterteeth account to get there, that is why I posted the image here.)

The site is D-9 or District 9 as it says there

You go to the site on the sign, and it takes you to a map. If you click a marker in a red zone, it kicks you to Multi-National United

Now I haven't done much of anything with it yet, but I thought I would open it up to you all for some help.

Wow, nice site! The alien side of it is way intriguing.

Anyway, signed up as both species with separate email addresses.

The Game

This game is partly a critique meant to remind the new generations of the meaning of "separate but equal" in the United States and the Apartheid of South Africa.

Privacy policy has a link to another site:
http://www.mathsfromouterspace.com/

and it's friggin creepy that they set this in South Africa, given that they probably just had to do a global word replace and add "non human" to some historical documents from that country.

It's a promo for a sci-fi film, District 9, due out next August. Judging by the info on the sites, the film is a feature-length version of the director's short Alive in Joburg.

You think Blomkamp is involved in this one?

wow, trixie little math aptitude test...

answered all the questions (uncertain about a couple)
always 9/10 right Razz

ftr, these are the answers I used... been a while since highschool so some of my 'advanced' math is a bit shaky Razz:
I'm not spoilering, because it does nothing in the end. It's just math equations...

1: 15
2: -1
3: 7
4: 5
5: 2
6: 100 (I forget the log formulas =/)
7: 0 and 8 (forget 'null set' - assumedly no answer)
8: (x+5)^2
9: 1,-2
10: totally forget Razz

quality design IMO... on both initial sites.
signed up (and it's the same form on every site, even the maths one)

It's not a set ... set of questions. I tried twice and got different questions.

ah, this would explain it...

went back to the page and wasn't able to re-take the test, it stored the previous results, which explains the consistent 9/10 correct. bah!

Wow, that is a really professional looking website. What a neat idea! I registered as a human. Though I may start a new email account strictly for a non-human character.

I can't wait to get started! Smile

While looking around on the map on the Human side, I found an article on a convience store robbery. The picture showed some graffit. This website http://www.mnuspreadslies.com/ was part of the graffiti.

Now we need a way to decode that alphabet.

okay.. looks like aliens somehow made their way to earth, and were immediately put onto a reservation-type area called district 9 in north Johannesburg in south Africa. They apparently have no rights and are basically hated by humans. This is a result of propaganda put out by MNU, a large company that has reigned over technology for the past 20 yrs.
