Well, someone else mentioned that paranormaljournal.org now has the SUmmer 2003 issue. Dr. Leo Kane is a contributor.

And someone else mentioned Aquapolis has a new story. Slow conection, so it'll take me awhile to get to it.

Dang it! I was just about to go to sleep thinking we were at a standstill!

Good find thebizrock! Most of the people in US asleep now though I believe...

Paranomal Research Journal is also updated with Vol 2.4, including an article by Dr Leo Kane. Philip mentions this in his email to Beth in MetaDex.

Bunch of quotes on Leo Kane's site. Some from our very own Wongmo

The carpet pattern never changes; only our perception of the pattern does.
- Wongmo

Living on isolated islands, we cherish out diversities. For we have come from many places and in many different ways to this enormous yet intimate chamber of summer….These are islands of the gentlest invasions. And somehow the closer we live to each other, the more space we all seem to have, the more we are enlarged. Celebrate that.
- Gavan Daws and Ed Sheehan

The glass is half empty, some say. Others say the glass is half full. I say the glass is Love.
- Wongmo

In what other land save this one is the commonest form of greeting not "Good day," nor "How d'ye do", but "Love"? That greeting is 'Aloha': love, I love you, my love to you... It is a positive affirmation of the warmth of one's own heart-giving.
- Jack London

Aloha is my religion. I practice it every day.
- Pilahi Paki

Truly knowing yourself requires a full-length mirror.
- Wongmo

The state of aloha can be created in an instant. It is a decision to behave with kindness, with generosity, wanting to give joy to another.
- Irmgard Farden Aluli

Though the air is so soft and the sky so blue, you have, I know not why, a feeling of something hotly passionate that beats like a throbbing pulse through the crowd. Though the native policeman ... gives the scene an air of respectability, you cannot but feel that it is a respectability only of the surface: a little below there is a darkness and mystery.
- W. Somerset Maugham

I'll see if any others are here...

The noses look different to me, Skeptical. He is missing has a small nose, while Wongmo's nose is very pointy...

Plot thickens...

Subject: re: logic and instinct

Phillip, I understand what you are saying. However, I'm reminded of something C.S. Lewis once said, "Our instincts are at war...each instinct, if you listen to it, will claim to be gratified at the expense of the rest." Man stands above because of the ability to think, to reason. We have the power to sort through our conflicting instincts and see the truth. That power comes through logic. As it stands right now, there is no logical relationship for the patterns that I am seeing.

A repeat of the Plagues? That just doesn't happen. Logic would almost have to dictate that it is nothing more than an elaborate hoax. Yet one that is so complex? That spans the world? I have been poring over images, articles, and emails and it just does not add up. Nothing adds up.

There is a new project at work, one that could make quick work of this. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the application myself. However, there is a function on Friday. The office would be empty. Marcus has access. Is my sanity worth the risk?

Beth is about to join the rest of us...

Other quotes from Leo Kane's site:

Go out as far as you want. Never be afraid in the water.
- Julia Kahanamoku

A sight of the volcano fills the mind with awe…The strongest man is unstrung, the most courageous heart is daunted in approaching this place.
- David Douglas

I dream of a place where sunlight heals the tired spirit, far from the things I am used to, where cleansing waters float away my cares and fragrant trade winds and waterfall spray caress my skin and carry the years away.
-Go Hawaii

Aak, there's so many of them, and some have only appeared once! Hopefully I'm not wasting my time for no reason.

The spirit of these Islands comes from the people. People who are unselfish and radiate joy, they are full of the spirit of Hawai'i.
- Monsignor Charles Kekumano

Heck, I'm a musician - I think I'm gonna enter Wongmo's talent search!

There's some Wongmolicious mp3s on Wongmo's site. But nothing out of the ordinary with them, just soothing instrumentals.

Meet and Greet Is At Intercontinental At 5th and Lake

http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ic/1/en/hd/jnbha

The metacortechs.com home page says the meet and greet is at 5th and Lake at a Intercontinental Hotel. A search of all global addresses for Intercontinental Hotels shows the only close addreess being the above link which is listed as "Corner of 5th and Alice", Johannessburg, South Africa. Kind of interesting with the Alice and Wonderland references in the game but.......don't claim to know the significance

Theory: Meeting is in South Africa which has a regional Metacortex headquarters in Capetown...not too far from Johannessburg?

Actually, at the end of the "waverunner" sample, there's what seems to be some backwards speech. It's very quiet, I only heard it with the computer volume up all the way and headphones.

Frankly, since Beth had "meet and greet" in her calendar, and considering that the main HQ is in Redland, I don't see why the meet&greet would be anywhere except in Redland. Unless MetaCortechs is flying all the employees oversees. Since Redland is fictional, then I would assume the hotel would be as well...

Yes I noticed there's 7 seconds of "silence" near the end of that track. I turned up the volume and it sounded like typing on keyboard or bird flapping. Sounds the same in reverse.
