Entry 7 has a tear before Brian leans forward and we can see the tree. I can't see that it looks like the same scene, I don't think it is, but that tear also happens when they are reacting to something the girl in the backseat said.

The tree in Advocate seems to be sliding to the right as the video goes on - it starts in the center, and ends up on the right-hand side. Also, what's shown on the far right of the screen looks like part of the far left side. I think the video was cut up and several strips of video are overlaid. At the end "dramatic pan out", we're shown the building that was directly behind Brian's head for most of Entry 7.

Oh, maybe it's nothing, but the grass above Brian's headrest in that screenshot looks like two people. I was unable to match it to the greenery that should've been in the shot, so it might have been added in by totheark.

Notice how the video is slowed down. Possibly should we speed it up to match entry 7?

EDIT: Oh and my analysis of the audio (I don't know how to make the high pitches go away) was it was saying "Madness"

I have been lurking for some time now.

Okay, so long-time lurker, all that...
Could it be possible that Advocate takes place in Entry Seven, after Alex dropped the script and picks it up? Cause the camera kind of stops for a moment, and, during that time, the girl says something, which could be picked up by the camera as weird sounds (by the way, how are we supposed to guess it's a girl, since we don't hear her nor see her? how would J. know?), and then Brian lets out a weird high-pitched laugh, maybe nervous (like if the girl made a joke like "I hope Slender Bender shows up soon!", or something like that). It's unlikely 'cause the camera seems pretty still in Advocate, but apart from that, I think it could be that.

I've been lurking since the beginning, but I finally decided to register.

Ok, I think tot is trying to explain us how to count with his binarie clock.
The thing is, it doesn't go from 9 to 16, but from 9 to 10, so the last one is 10 and not 16. If we use this way of counting on the Program video, we get 25-01-13-01 3 times, so YAMA and not YAGA. I don't know if it makes more sense though..

Just some free association: YAMA -> MAYA -> calendar -> countdown -> deluge -> whatever. I hope it won't go that way tho. Enough mumbojumbo ARGs already.

Well, there are times it is said that "he shall come for us all" (like in Matt's notebook, for example). Maybe he's the Mayan apocalypse. That'd be a lame ending.

I'm new here but i think i found something to this video. Remember in entry 7 how the camera kinda moves back in place and Brian says "Alright let's start again" So, this video comes before entry 7 begins.

it's a different camera angle than the very beginning of entry 7. it might have happened, but it would have to have been a bit earlier, or from a separate camera/viewpoint.

7....

Think about it in biblical terms, which would infer Jesus. Maybe Slender Man is a depiction of an Anti Christ testing the faith of Alex.

Doubtful and a rather stupid theory.

I know this was mentioned already, but in this video at least the character is recognizably a Stigma, specifically the Times New Roman Stigma as seen in this wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Stigma_uc_lc.svg Poking around about Stigma reveals that it could represent the number 6, a badge of shame, the original sin, etc. As a tool for codebreaking it doesn't really tell me much but perhaps one of you are more clever. As a general freak-out device it performs admirably.

I found this part of the entry interesting: "the phenomenon whereby an individual with an attribute, which is deeply discredited by his/her society, is rejected as a result of the attribute". Could be totheark regards him/herself as some sort of Cassandra, in possession of the truth but doomed to be considered a fraud?

just read this thread:
two things spring to mind: 1) possibly the point of it being upside down the the right way up stigma[if that's what it is{though that looks likely}] is to indicate that the "grilles" in program are/should be read upside down?
2) we don't even know if they are grilles anyway...

It's a girl because Brian directly says "I thought you were talking to HER"

QUESTION

Does anyone else think that the "tick-tock" message in the Advocate vid is specifically referring to Brian, and not J, Alex and/or specifically the time left to solve the ARG? As in-- "Alex is gone but there is (little) time left to save Brian"?

(Sorry if this sounds super obvious or anything but I've perused the thread and I didn't see anyone else asking the same thing.)

Actually, that does make sense. Perhaps now it's Brian's turn. Slenderman is attached to those woods, and now that Alex has moved out, he's going after Brian (they say Brian lived close to Alex). Why Brian and not some other neighbor? Because Brian was on the set of MarbleHornets, and it was probably too close to the woods for SM's liking, so he went after Alex first (since Alex was the first one to reach that place. - we could also regard Exit as the reason SM doesn't follow J, since he wasn't there when Alex "summoned SM's wrath"), and now he'll be after Brian. If that's true, then all the actors of the MH series might be bait.

Just speculating, of course.

EDIT:

Just a thought.

It seems to me that in the alex.wav file, Brian is saying, "obvious," and in the imback.wav file, Brian is saying, "same man."

I tried to post a response in the thread but it wouldn't let me. Sorry if I'm breaking any rules - I haven't posted here before.

Fortune Smiles wrote:
Sorry, I've just been listening to it again and it seems that Brian may also be saying, "same plan."

While "same plan" doesn't exactly seem to make much sense, the former is actually very plausible, and could indicate that Brian is indeed the "Slenderman". Here are the audio files, cleaned up of distortion and sped up a bit. Alex.wav is reversed, while I'm back.wav isn't.

Also, another theory I proposed in the trailhead:

In many of his videos, TTA talks about floods, deluge, we can see rain, water. If we don't consider his two videos Regards and Operator, we can see that:

- There's talk of rain, floods, deluge, water-related things
- Impurity and BLEED MORE: The blood of Christ is said to wash away impurities. Maybe the blood on Alex in #14 wasn't his, or if it was, it was meant to wash away his impurities.
- Advocate: "a person who pleads for a cause or propounds an idea." (Google definition). Again, bringing back the possibility of TTA being Slenderman, and that he thinks he's doing the good thing by cleaning the impurities of people.

This is a bit far fetched, but a thought nonetheless.
