I feel like we didn't do whatever we were supposed to do with it.
Hopefully the results aren't lost.

I just thought of something and I don't know why I'm even bringing it up cuz it's ultimately pointless, but did anyone ever think to check the source code on the actual craigslist page? because i'm pretty sure it's possible to hide shit in a post using the "<!---" thing.

2ND EDIT:
Nevermind...I tried it. While doing the "<!--" thing will obscure the text in the posting, it can't be viewed in the source, either. I feel a little better.

The super frustrating thing is that since his email is @hatshoe.org, if he lost the website, he lost the email. So it's pointless to even ask him what's going on.

My hope through this was that he had simply removed the files from his server. Maybe he had planned on updating on the 20th and something went wrong and he lost everything but he was working to get it back.
As I said previously, because his email is based on his domain, if the domain is gone, so is his email. So I finally sent one. Got this back immediately:

Look, I'm really confused right now, but let's all chill the fuck out and try to reason logically. There's no way that - if this was indeed just some sick joke - any single human being could have played it all so well. That would mean we've all just witnessed the masterpiece of a twisted fucking sociopath genius, and while it would make for a good movie script, it's not something I would bet on.

There's either

1) A research team behind this shit, logging perhaps data on how information spreads via the internet or something. It's done all the time, for market research ends - I know it's very far fetched, but still I think it more plausible than the other reason, being

2) A very real person behind it, meaning it's not a joke and pretty much all the theories put forth by airportdisco and the posters in this thread could be the truth, or close to it.
However, if what airportdisco says is true, and something has happened to hatshoe, this brings about a new dilemma:
why would his site go down just because he can no longer update it?
who would feel the urge to take down such a seemingly jibberish-ridden, if incredibly interesting internet diary?

There's so many more questions, but I doubt I'm the right man to ask, let alone answer them. I've spent fuck-all time in this thread, I'm really just a recent passer-by of hatshoe.org but boy was I entranced. I'm sure you understand. I just don't want this to end without some sort of closure.
