Thanks for the clarification denim_trousers, that clears up one mystery. Keep that outside the box thinking hat on fezzik, it could be useful. I'm not sure you nailed it with this one as it is a bit of a stretch but you could turn out to be on to something so keep thinking.

Asked our friendly host if we had missed anything after doing all the editing on all the pages and finding basically squat and his reply was that we had missed nothing. I've now asked him if there is something we need to do with what we have or if we are waiting on more clues from him. Hoping for a reply soon as he usually tends to reply around this sort of time.

Other than the purpleness of red wine, I can't make the connection with middle aged men (and their tits).

I am a middle aged man and the only time my tits have turned purple in regards to a tanning booth is when I'm in it, other things I might add turn pruple and me in a tanning booth is NOT a pretty sight. Cool

I googled a lot of different combos from Recipe and can find nothing useful however I have found some great ways to pack, clean my toaster and take the tarnish off silver. I have always thought the recipe was alittle bogus since in the first step you pour the salt on a mirror and in the next you have the mirrors face each other thus the salt slides off.

So just some other randomness since I have nothing solid to add except my purpleness and some of things I think stand out.

The word Evasion is capitalized in natural in an odd way.

Also on the hand written email page the 'of' is written a similar way to the way these pages are refered to uF but its Of So it would read:
adopt the paradigm OF, a pedagogue.

And finally there is a reference in an email to "it may not be as bad as it seems" could be that is the "it" refered to in the handwritten email.

Finally again, he uses a u in flavor in Natural further proof of non-america writing methods.

So tada...nothing.

edit corrected the page name Flavor to Natural

Lol, thanks for your in-depth anyalysis there whitecross, my particular highlights were your discussion of purple tits and your final comment. Don't worry though, like I said, I told him what we'd found (and didn't even mention everything) and he said we hadn't missed anything so I'm guessing we just wait until he emails one of us again or there's a new entry on the site.

Here's to whitecross8's purple tits in a tanning booth! Laughing

Heh thanks...glad I could share.

One other thing the alien bad guy in Outlander is actually called a morowen and there is a character called Boromir. Gotta say from the synopsis it sounds bad

I'm fascinated by "tan" because its structure really suggests a hidden meaning. I mean, "purple tits"?

I also thought it was weird; specifically, the "Cartoon Face Syndrome" bit. He has notoriously sloppy writing and grammar, yet this writing is clearer and he even capitalized Cartoon Face Syndrome, as if it was the name of a real disease.

I assume what he means is that by getting overly tan your skin looks fake, rather than say a genetic disorder that causes an unnaturally formed face (e.g., one that has anime proportions).

Hatshoe
I emailed Hatshoe

I only found out about Hatshoe over the past few days, getting really into it yesterday.
I decided to email him and received te following messages.

Quote:

Me: Hello hatshoe.
What can you tell me about your website?

Him: What would you like to know, kind friend?

Me: I'd like to know the reason you created the website, what your clues are for and if there any particular entries on you site that I should be particularly aware of.

Him: Seek the one who hunts, he has the most knowledge. Perhaps even the most wisdom.

Me: Katanow. (trying to drop hints that I know what hes saying.)
Where would one find The One Who Hunts?

Him: You must keep this secret and allow time to pass, or all will be lost. You will find him.

Me: Good morning.
You are wise, Hatshoe. At least... You appear to be.
I saw the weird movie from your site. I thought it was pretty good, if not slightly strange.
Are there any other people I should look out for, aside from The One Who Hunts?

Waiting on further reply now.

I hope this helps in the hunt.[/spoiler]

Im lurking on this, its grabbed my attention.

Just wondering, on the Recipie page, could the amounts for each item listed be relavent? For example 2 mirrors, 3 feet of electrical cord. Added up its 9 1/2 but I dont think this means anything.

Also, when it talks of salt and mirrors, I know this to be used in paranormal investigations, and as protection.

It also reminded me of something where a person stands in a mirrored room or box, in the dark and they start hallucinating. Unfortunatley the name for this escapes me. I believe its probably a form of sensory deprivation.

I wasn't sure if I was being referred to as 'The One Who Hunts' as my nick here means hunter in German. Than again, he would have had to have read this forum here on uF as the email address I've been using for this one doesn't involve that word (another does but I haven't mentioned it or used it insofar). So I'm not too sure what to make of it, I don't know that I would have done to have made him percieve me as having wisdom so leaning towards it being someone else considering the evidence.

A historical figure maybe?

Sorry for popping in like this; been lurking the thread since it was created. Interesting plot so far.

Jaeger, I wouldn't be too surprised if the reference to hunting was targeting you. I think this same was the case some early time during "I'm Sorry", or some other ARG that started around the same time. The character told the players to "Seek the person with the pixels", who happened to be a person on the forums who ran a website with "pixels" in the website address. I think they found a comment on one of his blog posts or something.

It might just be a stupid misunderstanding of the PM's riddles, but do you run any websites, or anything?

Been Lurking and have a few things to mention. I don't know if this has been noticed by anyone or taken into account, but in the source code of the root page of the site, the links are listed in a different order than the order in which they are listed on the site. There is no easily recognizable pattern in the order of either listing.

In Recipe Source when he mentions what he does about a smokescreen, perhaps he is referencing the order in the main-page source code? ((of course, we should check both orders for something relevant))

[SPEC] @Jaeger, it is possible that he is reading these forums and simply not posting, that could be how he knows you. ^_~*

that psychomanteum(SP?) stuff is pretty interesting.

EDIT: I just shot off an email to the posted address, but to cut down on clutter, I will post my initial and his response in a new post later on. If things develop quickly enough, I may be able to include further exchanges in the same post. Wish me luck!

Just sent him this email:

"Hello there good sir. I have happened upon your most interesting site, and I must say that it surely has grabbed my attention! I was talking to some friends, and for some reason, after reading over the various entries on your site, the phrase "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM" is haunting our thoughts. Strange, isn't it? I thought you would find this of interest. I hope to see more added to your site soon."

Awaiting his reply.
