Skimming through now.

Edit : http://www.anagramsite.com/ with that list brings up a ton of results with basidiomycete and aecidiomycetes.

When searching the second on google, it gives me a 'did you mean : basidiomycetes?' link.

Wikipedia page on Basidiomycota - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basidiomycota

The image first image on the page is labeled 'Basidiomycetes from Ernst Haeckel's 1904 Kunstformen der Natur'

I got this one too.

The text is from a poem by Sylvia Plath, work #90, "Incommunicado". http://poetry.emory.edu/epoet-Author.xml?search=Plath%2C+Sylvia&cursor=1,20

Could be a hint? He's out of communication now?

From adulvizedonna's Twitter:

that's really really weird. a couple people emailed me about some poem thing that I apparently sent them? But I don't know them, and I didn't send those emails. This is freaky.

Link found on the twitter.

http://adulvize.wordpress.com/

Seems like something's gone down recently that she's trying to bury.
Could be linked some how, but, I don't think there's enough there to know for sure. The videos she mentions may be worth looking in to.

Edit ::
Youtube account.

I'm not really sure yet. Perhaps someone hacked your account? Maybe you have a sleepwalking alter ego?

I'm talking to some friends about it—there seems to be a code embedded in the poem.

Why yes it did. Poem by Sylvia Plath (hence the subject line), "Incommunicado".

Any idea what's up with that?

Watched the first video she posted on YouTube.
Highlights for those of you unable to watch right now:

There was some "drama" and that's why she made the new account/accounts (if you count the blog/Twitter/etc.)
She made mention of a "she" as the cause of the drama and who she was getting away from. I think I'm wrong here after listening to it again, might wanna check this. Swear I heard it the first time though.
She's living with her girlfriend in Ithaca, New York, working at the bookstore near the Cornell campus. Don't know if that's relevant or just a random actual fact about her, but oh well.

Other than that she seems like a completely normal girl. But email addresses don't just send poems to people at will.

EDIT: I also saw this before, but I didn't want to say anything before I got my feet on the ground with what's going on here. Part of the letters from the poem can spell "SAM DEERCOT" but I played Human Pet for over a year and my eyes are trained to see that shit by now, haha.

Sent an email, got a response. :

Caught wind of your odd email problem via a friend who directed me to your Twitter.
I was searching around and found that you can spoof an email - IE : Someone can send a email from your address with out ever having your password and information.
http://www.governmentsecurity.org/articles/spoof-email.html <- for more info.

The capitalized letters in the emails coming from your address are an anagram for ' basidiomycetes' by the way.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basidiomycota <- more info.

Poems with hidden anagrams for a type of fungi coming from someone who claims to not know what's going on.
Very odd indeed.

spoof emails show up in your sent messages folder, though?

Bah! Coppied the wrong link any way. http://antionline.com/showthread.php?t=265200 For future reference.

But, no. I don't think they would show up in your sent box. Due to the way it's done - a program built in to Windows, with the mail server info - it wouldn't show up because they never actually logged in to your account.

Are the messages coming up in your sent box?

Waiting on a response, but, it seems like they -are- in her sent box, and therefor not spoofed. Hm.

Edit ::
Twitter update

just so there's no confusion, it's from my email account proper - the original messages are in my sent mail folder.

Telos, I know she said she's heading off to work, but maybe ask if her girlfriend or someone else uses her computer? She may have left her email logged on.

12:26:13 PM adulvize: hello!
12:26:17 PM redct: hello
12:26:28 PM adulvize: you're one of the poem people, right?
12:26:31 PM redct: yep
12:27:25 PM adulvize: cool - hate to be in a rush, but I'm out the door in like five minutes.
12:27:29 PM redct: okay
12:27:30 PM redct: no problem
12:28:27 PM adulvize: feel free to ping me any time when I'm home.
12:29:28 PM adulvize: i just feel kinda bad spamming and running, y'know? XD
12:29:34 PM adulvize: random poetry.
12:30:16 PM redct: most likely not your fault
12:30:30 PM redct: I found your twitter and stuff btw
12:30:44 PM redct: if you don't mind me asking, why did you have to make a brand new online identity?
12:30:51 PM redct: seems rather puzzling.
12:32:09 PM adulvize: oh, it's internet drama, mostly. an ex-friend and I got in a big fight over stupid stuff, and she decided to start making mean comments about me and stuff so I thought I'd move.
12:32:20 PM adulvize: it's not really a big deal, just a pain in the ass, y'know? XD
12:32:26 PM redct: tell me about it
12:32:33 PM redct: maybe it's someone trying to get revenge on you?
12:32:48 PM redct: but, by spamming people... hmm. if you don't mind me asking, what was your old online name?
12:32:53 PM redct: might be able to find clues as to who did this
12:33:14 PM adulvize: maybe. doubt it, though - she's more the "troll the blog" type. I mean, she's a bitch, but she's had my passwords before and never done anything.
12:33:37 PM adulvize: sorry, i really don't want any links anywhere, y'know? anyway, I've gotta jet or i'll be late
12:34:03 PM adulvize: i'll talk to you later though.
12:34:08 PM redct: okay

Cipher updates: I can most likely guarantee it's not any of the standard Vigenere or ROT-n ones.

EDIT: It looks like we might want to find her old identity online.

Will do. I'll post any updates.

Edit ::

As to not look like a stalker who's read every blog post and youtube video, I kept up with the 'friend told me about your twitter' thing - like that was the only place I knew her from. Because of that I didn't single in anything like i knew she had a gf or anything. Here's what i asked :

Sorry for two emails in a row - but just curious.
Do any family members or roommates or bfs/gfs use your computer?
There's a chance you left your email logged in and they got on.

Like she said, she went to bed at 3 AM last night, that's EST. So, I can't really do the time conversion, I suck at math. Was the original email sent after 3 AM EST?
