[TRAILHEAD?] Saver Corporation Weird circumstances. I was recently followed on Twitter by a company by the name of Saver Corporation (@savercorp) who I had never heard of before. Based upon their tweets and some information on their website http://saver.co/ , it looks like they're recruiting RPG players for the positions of Research, Development, and Media to help devise strategies and weapons to combat "supernatural" terrorist threats. They have started to tweet about "new recruits" that have been added to their team. Just for fun (and because I'm an avid RPG player), I applied for a "Development" position by following the instructions here: http://saver.co/get-involved/
I tried to find ANYTHING on the internet about these guys but I came up empty. The posts on their website start June 21st, 2010 but it looks like their domain wasn't registered until July (see below). There is a company listed on LinkedIn as Saver Corporation but the information there is useless and completely generic.
I tried to do a WHOIS lookup on the domain but apparently the .co TLD just became available for non-Columbian registrations and the US doesn't have a WHOIS database for them yet. I did, however, find a Columbian WHOIS that would give me a response. See this URL: http://www.whois.co/ . After translating the page, it looks like the person who registered the domain is "Eric Newold" (definitely seems fake) from Saver Corporation and they only give a PO Box in Portsmouth, VA. Calling the Administrative Contact phone number just gives a busy-back signal.

Since the DoD hasn't actually created a supernatural classification (... that we know of, I guess) and the #1 defense contractor is Lockheed Martin, I'm guessing this is a game. I'm going to apply to be a researcher due to my excellent looking things up on Wikipedia skills.
EDIT: Also, I see now on the contact page that they have a Google Call button. I don't have time to try this out now, but maybe you'd have more success with that, Max?

I had it call me. It's for Saver Corp, all agents are busy, and to leave a message.

Thanks for that, Ofiuco. I didn't try it earlier but just did it now. I left a message to contact me with my cell number if they needed more info for my application.

Was it just a voice mail service, or was there a message?

It didn't really have any message, it was along the lines of thanks for calling, no agents are available at this time, please leave a message. That's pretty much it.

Opted for Development, since it seemed under-represented

Yeah, I was wondering how come there's no R&D which is the norm in most companies. Anyways, I opted for Research and Media.

Signed up for Development and Media, since those seemed to need people. Figured I'd say that here, although I'll probably lurk more then anything else.
