Kaitlyn has shared the following YouTube video with you:

Message: Hey, Kait here. Sorry for just popping in out of nowhere, but I thought you'd probably dig this video. It's all tongue-in-cheek I assure you Wink .

At first I assumed it was just spam, but I clicked the link anyway. Then I noticed the tags Alternate, Reality, Game, Punkthedress.com, and whoischick.com

Anyway, I haven't had time to look into it yet, but a quick search didn't find me any other threads on this subject. Let me know if you find anything Smile

From the website, it looks like a web comic.

Any clues how they invited participants to this game?

As I had a friend named Kate Yi who was murdered a few months ago, finding this in my inbox was a nasty surprise. I was pretty angry when I followed the links and found an arg.

I got this one.

No time to look at the moment; I'll keep it on my radar.

I only started getting trailheads since putting my email on the list on unforum, so they might've got it from there?

Well, this is definitely an ARG.

From the link above:

The creators of the website admit to it being an ARG. They also link to this thread on the page. They're watching us!

Double post, I know, but look at the video. There is a new comment.

Kaitlyn. What the hell? Mom would die of shame if she saw this. What were you thinking?

It's by a user named michelletuan32. This user registered today, has never watched a video, and did nothing but register and post that comment, then log off.

Yes, right here:
http://whoischick.com/play-the-chick-arg/

Also, I noticed that nobody has checked out Punkthedress.com, the website listed at the end of the trailhead video. This blog has posts from up to two years ago (even though a whois of the domain shows a registration date of 09 Jul 2009 15:47:17), and it says it is made by Kaitlin Yi, who I assume is the one who posted the video. It's still active, with a new post coming out today, even. On the bottom left of every page is a link to the /play_the_arg/ page on whoischick, so I'm sure this is part of the ARG.

Judging by how old some of the posts are relative to the website's creation date, all the blog posts are created in relation to the ARG.

EDIT: I also notice that domikaitrix on Youtube has two subscribers: "rockindanceteacher" and "HappyHappyCheese". However, I think these may be OOG people, simply because they do look like real accounts, having been registered years ago, as opposed to "domikaitrix"'s launch on July 20th.

i meant on UF
EDIT: punkthedress doesn't seem to have much of interest yet, though i'll dig deeper in a bit
EDIT2: so her name is kaitlin yi, she is asian, she works for a comic book company[is it a real one?{never heard of misteria}], and she dabbles in video editing[the forementioned wedding video]
the log is a few years old and was originally about wedding dresses

Good eye on the Misteria comic. I did a quick google search and all that came up was this (very, very NSFW, by the way) pornographic comic here. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume this is NOT the Misteria comic that is being referred to in the blog...

Also, on the blog, there seems to be another video, this one of a "flash mob" wedding. It is by user called CreativeCeremonyVids who may or may not be part of the ARG. It is similar to the Trailhead's account, in that it was registered very recently, has almost no videos viewed, no friends, favorites, subscribers or comments, only one video with very few views. This may or may not be OOG, but it looks IG from my point of view.

The description mentions that the word for the flash mob was spread via Geocaching... well, this sparked my interest, simply because I just so happen to be an avid geocacher! The Geocaching website (geocaching.com) lists no events of a real wedding flash mob when you search for "wedding" as a keyword. While there are other Geocaching websites out there, I'm almost certain something this important would have been posted there... if it was real.

EDIT: May have found some sort of clue on one of the blog posts.

Browsing back through the history, I noticed this.

On this blog page, there is a somewhat hidden image. The "o..." in "so...", the last word on the entry, is a link to this picture of a cartoonish frog sticking his tounge out... but there is an overlay of a swirly logo over the whole image. Combined with the semi-hidden link... Is this something? Am I just over thinking it? Who knows?

ok, some other things, the blog was originally for kait's wedding arrangements,[wedding was around april/may '08], and some after-wedding blogs, until http://punkthedress.com/2009/01/05/introducing%E2%80%A6punk-the-dress/ this post, where it turns more into the ordinary job/economy/family type blog most bloggers keep

oh, and one post about teddy bears

I notice on this post, Kait mentions that she deleted her posts on tuanyiwedding.com... but that website is a dead 404. Google brings up absolutely zero results, and a whois search yields nothing. Likewise, archive.org has zero archived pages from that website. Hmmmmm... this site has never existed, yet Kait used to post to it! Curious indeed.

EDIT: assuming it was a typo for yuanyiwedding.com instead of tuanyi wielded no results either.
