The new config yields:

CW2ADIST6RUZ
6EBHGC8SFYXT

Where CW2 is Crewe, Cheshire and ST6 is Stoke on Trent...not sure about the rest, and it's completely unfinished... but this is the right track.

ETA: It says only TWO postcodes... so maybe the bottom string is a decoy/distraction?

What if you take all the letters from the same face? So:

CW2ADIST6RUZ
6EBHGC8SFYXT

yields: CW2 6EB and ST6 8SF?

Sorry for another double post, but I've been working on multiple of the puzzles Smile

Since we've already counted two of the puzzles as "when" puzzles, and the "where" puzzles seem to be postcodes, I started looking for postcodes in mine. If the 2:53-ish times (0253, 0254, 1453, etc) are supposed to be "T," I get:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

STTENONEXBSTSEVENTHREEHS

Which I think is: ST TEN ONE XB ST SEVEN THREE HS, or ST10 1XB, ST7 3HS.

...So now both are similar

first line S605LD
second line ST65ND (if the one is November)

both of them lead to some houses in UK. Just put them in Google. First one in Rotherham second one in Stoke-on-Trent Razz

Problem. Also other letters besides the N lead to some places in Stoke-on-Trent, e.g. ST65AD.

So we should really find this picture on the net to be sure.

Got lucky finding the original image, titled Nickelson Square November. So, Carebear's "ST65ND" is also correct.....

Darcy has a new blog entry and agree that SA's puzzle conforms to 18:30 hrs. Can someone double-check mine (P18) ? THX

How about translating to letters first?
X-V-I-I-I : X-X-X
would be 18:30

Could someone explain this. I do not understand the solve.

And of course thanks for the work on my puzzle. Somehow I missed that the parts could be changed.

You have been given the Roman puzzle.

24-22-9-9-9 : 24-24-24

It's first a number to corresponding alphabet letter substitution e.g. the 24th letter of the alphabet is "X" and so on..
Then the chain becomes the Roman numerals X-V-I-I-I : X-X-X (18:30hrs)

Below, find your puzzle from One. Three have where, two have when. You will each need to solve your segment and pass the results back to me. You will not be told who the other mission agents are.

When all the segments have been verified, I will pass the completed set of information out to all of you. With myself and you, there will be six cells in total at this mission.

Without complete information, this mission cannot go ahead. Solve these puzzles as quickly and accurately as you can.
Five.

You have been given the history puzzle.

The Spaniards are expelled from Tenochtitlan / The United States introduces an income tax / Thirty-four heads of state and government meet in Port of Spain, Trinidad for the 5th Summit of the Americas

Will email Five with these answers tomorrow unless there is an addn'l twist: 30-6-1520/1-7-1862/17-4-2009
EDIT: Is the twist that these are times on a 24hr clock? Then answer #2 shd be 1913 (16th Amendment).

I got the same dates for the first and third parts. On the second part, I think your first answer during the Civil War is more historically accurate, but the date I found was August 5, 1861. I was wondering - if the Roman puzzle is the time, maybe yours is the date? That would makes the formatting (clue/clue/clue) make sense, and the last one being "2009" would be logical. Having said that, I don't know how you should be getting single day or month numbers from the first two parts.

Ok, I think the Postcodes are all correct. If you again connect the pairs with a line all three lines cross at exact one point. See my google map
http://tinyurl.com/y8z36eq

Great Team work Rock On

We also have the time: 18:30

But still not sure about the day. Amandel's solutions seem correct (even though the tax is difficult to answer) - but they do not lead to an exact day.
First I thought that all dates might be on one common day, e.g. Tuesday - but that is not correct. Than I thought perhap take the day from first, the month from second and year from third answer - but 30th July 2009 does not fit. (EDIT: Now I read that jessie had the same idea Smile )

Perhaps it makes more sense if we get Five's part.

BTW. Who has already send his answer to Five. I will send mine now.

THX guys. Dilemma is we won't see Five's part until "all the segments have been verified". Will send mine tomorrow as three clock times unless someone has a eureka moment.

I am not sure if we really should send Five the correct data. Nevertheless I send mine already. I have asked Darcy about her opinion.

I think that Amandel's puzzle should give the date - but still missing the "Eureka moment".

This is more of a Eurek-huh than anything, but if I search google for the exact phrase (in quotes) "The United States introduces an Income Tax", I get several sources that say the date was November 3, 1913. I think they're wrong, but it is what comes up with that exact search. If you use that to do Auz's suggestion that we take the day from the first, month from the second, and year from the third, that's 30/11/2009, which makes sense.
