teh_lisa, if anyone thinks about the symbolic meaning of 1, as the beginning, the start.... then i would agree with you... But i feel that it is something much less vague... Perhaps we should think about the word: "math" or smthing like this...

Before algebraic mechanisms, mathematics were only based on common sense and instinc
like geometry. After that it has become more complex... so i think we should consider the
arabic numeric system as the one we are looking for..

true...without zero we probably wouldn't have math as we know it...how are you to build something up without a base??

There's something about these numbers along the bottom that have a direct connection with the answers we've found...guess i'll be playing with the numbers...

I can see arguments for both 0 and 1. I agree the numbers at the bottom have something to do with the answers, but the 41 throws me all off.

ok...just noticed something that might or might not be important ...but there are only three numbers in the sequence along the bottom that aren't repeated
6, 11, and 14
wonder if that has some sort of importance to the numbers

could the ponder the wisdom of the river refer to a book in the bible? and could the numbers then be verses which we need to take the first letter from?

The staffordsire Hoard went on exhibition at the british museaum yesterday. I did try to see if any of our numbers managed to match the os coordinates of it but they dont.

There is a gold bracelet that cotains a altin description though, could this be the thing found with the gold in the field.

Might be a big big coincidence, but
(not spoilered since I am not sure if this is indeed a solve)

if you use the standard symbols for Sulfur and Phosphorus and combine them with the numbers we have (SP06686x; with x anything between 0 and 9) you get a so-called "Grid ref". And all of those places are in Birmingham.

This might be coincidence.

Had a quick look through the books of the bible and I can't think of one that would relate to a river. Of course I don't speak Hebrew but I can't think to which book you're relating. Besides, we don't have enough numbers do we? We'd need a page, line reference and letter reference for it to work right? Plus, there's so many different copies of the Bible we'd need a specific edition outlined.

And nice one AUZ! That could be it. I think SP066869 is correct. Maybe the numbers at the bottom are references to an A-Z or Atlas of some sort?

SP066869 would be exactly Chamberlain Square http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chamberlain_Square

There are several interesting buildings:
- Birmingham Central Library
- Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery

and many more.
I wonder if one of them has a linkage to "Ponder wisdom of the river"

It is where the ancient items of Gold that were unearthed recently will be displayed, so whoever mentioned that earlier, kudos. Looks like there was something else found with the Gold items according to our last email. Also, the items are on display at the British Museum in London at the moment, so why would Flynn be heading there? They aren't due to be displayed until next year at that location.

I was confused about the statue for a while, I was looking for it on wiki in Chamberlain square, wish I'd seen my error and I could have got there before Catterpillar, darn!

That is the same statue I was talking about. It isn't called the River, it is called the River Goddess aka The floozie in the Jacuzzi. It came up when I googled chamberlain square river. I must have misread somehow.

eta: it seems to be called both the river and the river goddess. lol
