Yea, I'm definitely going to go ahead and write this whole thing off. It's pretty obvious that J is definitely leading towards Mask being TTA- "Lol guys wat's wrong with TTA?" MH is definitely notsubtle in its delivery- at the very least, not the Entries. If they want us to see and get something, it will be pretty clear. Look at how ce gars came out and corrected everybody on the grassy knoll theory in 18.

So, it's pretty obvious that TTA is heavily implied to be Mask. The biggest implication is the Tweet 3 days after he posted the video, when the longest wait was Advocate, which went up 10 days or so after 15.

Argh. Back to square one with ideas.

Er, sorry. How everybody was like "There's a third person in the house!" for 18.

Colloquialism for it is the "Grassy knoll theory", as reference to conspiracy theories surrounding JFK's assassination.

While the gentlemen in the left foreground are quite Slender-ish in appearance, they are not him. Smile

Try using the original for comparison:

Yea, I Slender-ized the tree not the people. Smile

I was surprised by the shape of that tree; its shape reminded me of the Blair Witch stickman.

No, it is not. what happened was the viral got so good, the actors' relatives were getting calls from people telling them they were sorry for the loss of the three people. IMO, best viral marketing EVAR!

One of the friends of the family was in on it and told me that every day they would give the actors food, point them in a direction and tell them to run, with crew making noises that the actors didn't know were going to happen. But we're getting off topic

I don't think its off topic; I would argue that MH does have a lot of things in common w/ BW in terms of mood, tone, and format.

Yeah, all that info on the production of BW is in the Wiki article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blair_witch#Development

I lived in central Fl when they were making BW and was on their mailing list when they had <1k followers. The viral was intense and it was a proto-ARG, but much more of a virtual scavenger hunt for clues. Us early fans nearly saw the entire film from hidden 1-5 min segments throughout the year leading to its release.

I remember I would sit down folks who knew nothing of it and play them like an hours worth of clips. The industry definitely benefited and learned from this word-of-mouth method.

OK, well, maybe my theory isn't totally off-base at this point.

TTA seems to be alive and well. The pause in the video response isn't unprecedented, so maybe we could write it off, maybe not.

The face in Messages is Tim's (I'd pretty much give an 80% guarantee on that). TTA led J to the house twice. Either J found what TTA needed, or TTA is writing the house off as a lost cause- which seems plausible. TTA gave J the tip the first time to go there, but J fucked up. TTA sent him a second time, and Mask was there to run interference- the house is compromised, so to speak. So, TTA is leading J to Tim, to find something else.

Argh. If only we had information.

You're projecting a bit too much methinks. Just a few posts ago you said that Marble Hornets isn't very subtle, and if there's something there then we'll see it. But then you've gone off into wild speculation about the secret war between the creatures of sight and the creatures of sound. There's nothing in his videos suggesting he's trying to fight SM so far. Hell, there's nothing in the videos so far that indicates TTA makes anything of SM at all.
