Well it sucks that this isn't real.

Yeah. It seems that the games I want to play (where all the resource artifacts and story support each other) always turn out to not be "ARG"s, at all... But should have been.

Sooo tired of the SOS.

I myself was randomly emailed about this by a family member who found it somehow, I didn't then think it was an ARG but it did first strike me as the kind of website that you find in ARGs, so I dunno. With the bullet casing revelation though, I'm thinking maybe it is - it wouldn't be there by accident, and bears no relevance on the story so far, so it might just be that this is an ARG afterall.

Stargate tie in?

I wonder if anything would be gained by going out to Del Puerto Canyon...it sounded as though some of the pics had coordinates. maybe there was a drop box in the area (a la Geocaching).

Since I live nowhere near there, have no free time, and am more curious than obsessed...I guess my curiosity will go un-quenched.

Just A thought...
In the story, he describes his experience returning to this Earth through the "portal":
Quote:
and stepped through the portal (which felt like getting wet but staying dry the entire time, really weird... when i put my dog on the ground she even shook herself like she thought she was wet).

It reminded me of something...couldn't place it and then I remembered Stargate. When they travel to alternate dimensions the affect that is used is the person being immersed in water. I googled it and noticed that the actors for the main characters are (in the movie) James Spader and (in the TV show) Richard Dean Anderson.

James Richards anyone?

It would be awesome if this was some sort of promo for Stargate but I doubt any in-game characters would have out of series references. I don't watch Stargate the show and have seen the movie maybe 3 times. So maybe there is more to this...but probably not.

The Beatles were known to hide messages in their songs sometimes, has anyone listened to the album carefully and checked for backwards masking or whispers?

I believe you just appealed to my love of mystery.

Real or not, the album itself is still legendary. Despite not being made by them, it still gives of the vibe I have always got from 'actual' Beatles.

Oh, and to who ever bumped this. THANK YOU. You are my god Wink

Enjoyed the story but got annoyed at the bit where he states that there are an infinite amount of parallel Earths because that's just illogical.

If there are an infinite amount of Earths and the number of possibilities from those Earths is infinite then there is an infinite amount of reality hoppers who choose to travel to our world, because if only one reality hopper travels to our world then there aren't an infinite number of possibilities.

An infinite amount of people are sitting right where you're sitting right now if that story is to be considered logical.

*_* isn't it just quantum physics?
That's how I interpreted it anyway. As long as none of those bits of information are brought into focus they can exist without any judgment to stop them.

I DO however think the way it is described is slightly off.
Just my two cents.
