Reversed and sped up the audio from Messages. Sounds familiar, but I can't place it.

edit added a second version, sped up a little more. sounds a little better than the first version.

How much was that second one sped up, just an offhand question? I've got my history buff next to me and he usually can figure that sort of thing out. If it's the USS Arizona, which he says it also looks like, perhaps it has to do with the Pearl Harbor attack?

What makes me angry about it all is that I am a history major, so I SHOULD know this!!! I want to say it may be either german, japanese, or american, but then again, it also sounds russian style. idk, someone wanna help me on this?

We're working on it over here and it's not the German anthem, the Soviet Russian anthem, and it's certainly European in flavor.

Edit: Not Italy's, France's, England's, Spain's, or any of Germany's various anthems.

About 10% from the first one. I believe the first one was sped up approximately 100%, maybe a little more. Sorry, I didn't keep enough track while I was playing around with it.

It says "Smile for the camera" because Tim is an actor, and therefore, on camera.

It's definitely Tim, argument over. Time to move on to a new topic.

Isn't this picture J? They are IDENTICAL.

We're working on the theory that it's an Axis anthem of some sort, just keeping you guys updated. So far, no good leads.

Also, thanks MsHeadWound.

J interviewed Tim and he claimed to not know anything. He was very nervous during that interview. I think TTA obviously means that Tim is hiding something from us. Tim could be TTA or Tim just has some valuable information that we need.

Though, it would make sense if TTA was talking about J because we cannot tell if J is completely reliable because of his memory and he's the one who edits the parts and gives us what he wants us to see. The face looks like Tim though, not J.

Edit: Not sure if this is of any relevance but does anyone see the number 5?

This is undoubtedly the S from other videos, to me.

Fucked with the contrast, it's the same guy, similar angle, different picture.

Similarities:

Ridge above the lip, chops, flat bottom lip, upper teeth, chops, slope of the left (their left) cheek, and THE SAME FUCKIN' SHIRT.

The nose on the picture on the left doesn't look as wide because the face is turned slightly more toward the left, it's more a profile than the other. I wish I could grab a better quality screen shot. Really, the only way to verify, is to compare the ears. Every ear is different.

Aaand, we came up with nothing, after listening to 30+ anthems. Sorry guys, but you're on your own for the music portion.

History Buff Man says it is 100 percent positively the USS Arizona.

Im surprised no one mentioned the two (what I'm calling) pulses in the bottom left of the video. Possibly morse code.

hmm. Now that I think of it, the Arizona does come to mind while watching the video, due to the mass of the wreckage itself.

Oh, and here is a picture of the wreckage for comparison:

Here you guys go, I've got something for you. Sorry it's in wav format, but it's all I could get. I took MsHeadWound's second reversal/speed up and tweaked it some more, about 50 percent faster, cleaned it up a little, tweaked the pitch just a smidge, and equalized the left/right (which was characteristically louder in one side, true to TTA's sounds).

Hope it sounds clearer for you!

Has anyone tried running it through song identification software?

While it's certainly a sinking ship, I'm not so sure that it's the USS Arizona. Not that it probably matters what ship it is, more that it is a sinking/decimated ship. If there's meant to be symbolism behind it, it could very well mean that TTA thinks that something is a "sinking ship". J's involvement, perhaps, is a "sinking ship"?

Sorry, can't hang around for long. I've got to repair some computers problems.
PS: I nearly shit myself when I saw TTA posted a video. High point of the night.

Maybe it's because the sound quality is not very good?
Or does it identify only pithces and rhythm?

Maybe try playing the song on the piano or notation software and see if Tunatic recognises it...

I'm pretty sure this song starts in B, and then goes D-C-B-G-B-D... but then I can't figure out those high pitched notes (I think the last one is a G, if so it's in G major), maybe playing only those notes can give a list of songs with them in it...

EDIT:Kind of like this:
