I was curious to the Slenderman thing and just googled it. . .and couldn't sleep for two nights straights.
That was um. . .1 week ago? So I'm pretty much a very very... n00b. . .

Awhile ago I was looking for scary movies, and ended up stumbling upon this little gem: http://screencrave.com/2010-10-28/the-9-scariest-short-internet-films/

I shared this link with my friends, of course.

Oddly enough, I remember being unimpressed with the introduction and didn't give the rest of the series another thought until my friends called me up freaking out about how there was someone in the window. They picked me up and I watched Marble Hornets that night.

It may have been because I was surrounded by people and couldn't really get into it, but it didn't scare me much then. But as the days went by I found myself thinking about it more, and watched it again. Then I found the SA thread, Unforum, KnowYourMeme, etc.

I'm hooked now, and Slender Man scares me senseless xD. It's all their fault.

#2 should've been #1 :/
#1 was still pretty cool though. Youtube will never be the same for me.

I had just been browsing paranormal videos on youtube and eventually found the most recent entry (it was the last episode of season one, if I recall) in the related videos section. Seeing that it said "Entry 27" and I always have to start things from the beginning, I went to the main MH page, started with Introduction, and... that was that.

It was pretty cool going into it having no idea what Slenderman or Marble Hornets was. For the first couple of videos I was just like.. what the hell is this, is this real? 8|The more I learned about the Slenderman mythos the less scary it became, but when I was first watching it... man. I learned pretty quickly that 2 in the morning alone by the window was neither the time nor the place for MH viewing.

First post whutwhut.

Someone who I'm no longer friends with took me to her house and made me watch the first 20 or something. I found it kinda interesting so I went home and watched the rest. And now I'm totally obsessed. :I

I am just now reading into everything. I have actually been a uFer for a while, but had real life stuff going on so I wasn't on here much. I decided to start playing some grassroots games with my boyfriend and he said that Marble Hornets was the game of the year for last year. We decided to read the wiki to get some background and now I'm ready to start watching the videos!! Wish me luck!

One of my friends at school actually got me into it. My roommates and I were all really interested, so we all jacked free wifi and watched the first few videos behind the public library. IMMEDIATELY hooked.

I was casually browsing /x/ and found that a there was quite alot of topics, dedicated to an ARG Called Marble Hornets, and speculating future entries. I guess I've been hooked since then. Although, I may start getting into EMH, TT and others Smile

I've been here since the start of Season 2, although I've never actually been awake to see an Entry get uploaded, due to the -5 time difference. Sad

My friend sent me the first video and said "This is so scary!!" I didn't know anything about what it was and I was confused. I thought the guy filming was looking around in the rooms he was filming in and came across the ghost of a butler standing somewhere inside. I'm not sure where I got the idea that he was a butler. Laughing

Well anyway I kept watching and I got a few entries in and I came across the one where Slenderman goes by the window...but I thought that was the ghost of Abraham Lincoln. (It sort of looked like him!)

Well needless to say I kept watching the entire series and now I know what's going on and like Marble Hornets. I wish my friend would have explained to me what I was watching when she first sent it! I had never heard of Slenderman before this.

some time in january my boyfriend watched concrete giraffes and then started watching marble hornets. he then showed MH to me so that i could "get the joke" in concrete giraffes. he thought he'd scare me with the first entry and then show me concrete giraffes but watched like all the entries that night [up to like 33]. from there we watched EMH and then TT. and then i joined UF.

IIRC I was in a thread on /x/, trying to solve one of the pseudo-ARG puzzles that get posted there from time to time. We got stuck reached out to UnForum for help with whatever it was that we were trying to crack (1.zip maybe?).

Unfiction was not interested in *chan idiocy, but I found my way here, from there.

Was browsing "Scary Photo Thread" at Cracked.com, the two famous Slenderman photos were there, then a few other ones. I didn't know what Slenderman was so I googled it, ended up at ED which mentioned Marble Hornets, then found the MH wiki where I watched the first 19 or so entries all in one night. Then I came here.

I jumped in sometime after entry 26, but before entry 27. My then-boyfriend introduced me to the series and I was hooked during the first few entries or so. Sadly, that relationship failed miserably, but my love for MH lives on.

I've managed to get a fair amount of friends into it too though. My best friend and I are kinda horror/creepypasta/mindfuck junkies, so its only natural we connect over MH like we do. Insomniacs unite!

I honestly can't remember either. I know I've been watching Marble Hornets since around entry #27 came out and only branched out to others a few months ago. I just looked it up one day because the phrase Marble Hornets had been in my brain all day and started watching it. I probably saw it mentioned somewhere but I've been hooked on MH and other slendy ARGs since. But I've been spreading it among my friends like a disease, they aren't as into it as I am, but they enjoy it.

me too
