In a creepypasta thread on /x/, since entry 15, a pretty long time ago...

Since then, I translated the series to spanish in some forums and in a certain way contributed to create more mh fans in latam

Jadusable from the Zelda creepypasta mentionned Marble Hornets and I looked into it. I joined a few months before Season 2 started basically. Razz

Been watching ever since Entry 15. I remember I was looking around the internet for something creepy that might inspire me. Anything, really, urban legend, movie clips, someone's personal account of creepy circumstances. I went onto the Unexplained Mysteries forum, and saw something about "The Slenderman". At first I was put off, because the author of the thread didn't make it easy to understand what it was all about, and I didn't care to go read a thread on SA that looked to be mostly filled with shit I didn't care about. But after nothing else on that forum interested me either, I went back to see what the whole deal with the Slenderman was about. And naturally, in reading up on this, I inevitably came upon Marble Hornets. I went home that night to watch all the entries that came out, and thus I was hooked.

Fun note: It was I who created the Slenderman and Marble Hornets TVTropes pages. So for those of you who got into them that way, you can blame me for that.

A friend of mine didn't even give me an explanation of what Marble Hornets was. She just commandeered my computer, started from the beginning and had me watch it without her saying a word.

And I seriously thought it was real!!! I thought that some guy out there was really capturing these Slenderman sighting (yeah I'm gullible hah). I couldn't sleep for a good 4 days after. But I figured it had to be made up and sure enough it was. But I still love it! Very Happy

This was back in late 2009, and I was perusing the Power On section of the NSider2 forums. Someone had started a thread about creepypasta, so I started reading through the thread.

About five pages in, someone posted the original pictures and text for Slender Man. The person posted about Slender Man as if he were real, and the pictures and descriptions caught my interest, so I started doing research on this "Slender Man" creature. Was it real, or just an Internet hoax?

The thread went on, and someone mentioned this student film project that a group was working on, and how the guy in charge had started acting all crazy before disappearing. The film project was called Marble Hornets, and the NSider posted links to the Entries. I went over to YouTube and started watching, from the beginning.

I started watching Marble Hornets when Entry #15 was posted. From the NSider2 Forums, I wound up on /x/, and joined in discussion threads when Entry #16 and further entries were posted. Eventually I found this place, when people on /x/ mentioned this forum in connection to ARGs.

Been a fan of Marble Hornets ever since.

I found out about the Slenderman Mythos when reading fanfiction.

May 11th last year, an author posted a story which had Slenderman in it (... it was some anime series) and I really felt like reading a horror story so I checked it out, but it told me to check out TvTropes page for Slenderman and the Marble Hornets channel before reading her story. I only checked out the TvTropes page and got super scared. My friend said he'd watch it with me, but I had to wait for him to visit in August, so that's when we watched it. Since then, I've been greatly entertained by the whole mythos and have expanded to other Slenderman series.

Good fun.

I happened to be on Know Your Meme (can't remember why, maybe it was a featured site on GorillaMask?) and Slendy was on the front page. I clicked and found out about MH. This would have been when the entries were somewhere in the teens.

The funny thing was, I had been fairly active on UF throughout Cloverfield and hadn't been there since. But as soon as I got a couple of entries in I knew that this would be the place to go. Been back (mostly lurking) ever since.

I got started through another forum - there was a thread on urban legends and someone briefly mentioned the slenderman. Later on, another person quoted them with the link to the MH youtube page.

I found out about Slender Man and Marble Hornets from my brother and after seeing Jadusable's Majora Mask thing. My brother said something about Slender Man being a cool creepypasta monster so I looked him up and found Marble Hornets.

I learned about marblehornets from my friend telling me about it and how creeped out he was while I was at his house. He learned about it from his friend which is a friend of Troy...yep, small world.

I started around when entry 20 was posted, and watched all the entries starting at about 2:00 AM. They honestly didn't scare me much, but the audio distortion was creepy, along with entry 19 surprising the hell out of me. I started off anticipating slenderman to kill people, and I really didn't understand the characters that well at all by my friend's description. He did show me all the sightings of slenderman in the entries, though, and the story about him.

I was an extremely loose follower after that and didn't really pay much attention to it for a long time. I reeeeally didn't understand entries 22 and 23 with the basement and stuff because I refused to believe in time-warp due to my logical brain. I really understood almost nothing until season two started, and then I got bored and decided I wanted to understand this stuff. I first went to the Something Awful forums then got bored lurking there and went here because it's free. I lurked for a couple months, gathering as much information as possibly to not appear like a newfag and eventually posted.

I'm the only person in my whole damn high school that knows about the mythos, and the people I try to convert refuse because they're "busy" or something. It's kinda sad because I do so much more work than them and have plenty of time.

Well, now I'm having a lot of fun with this series and will enjoy trying to help solve future mysteries (haha, fat chance).

I discovered Marble Hornets on a forum around the time of entry #18. I didn't find out what Slenderman was until about a week later. I watched all the entries available in one run and bookmarked it to see if it continued being good. I wasn't disappointed.

Actually on my first viewing I ignored the TTA videos because I thought they were just some guy being a pain in the ass and a creeper. I was right, of course, but it turned out to actually be part of the series so I went back and watched them. Razz

I decided that I needed to find out who Slenderman was and why he was supposed to be so creepy. This led to google, which led to a mention of Marble Hornets, and now...

Well, I've always had a weakness for ARG's, and this pretty much guarentees that I'm hooked XD
