My ex would always mention Slenderman when we were hanging out, and our friends would always blame bad things on them. So finally, he showed me what it was all about, and it didn't freak me out until the second time I watched it.

Now I love it.

About a year ago there was a short Marble Hornets thread on an image board. I read through it and had no idea what anyone was talking about, so I checked out the series. Before doing that, I hadn't ever seen or heard of Slender Man.

When I was at a friends house, he decided to introduce me to MH and Slendy as he began to show me all his most notable creepypasta.

Watched a couple, didnt get hooked, but then I decided to rewatch them all the way through...and now Im definitely hooked.

I was introduced with Masky. Wink

No, really. A friend linked me to #18, then #19, and I was snagged. From there I went and watched the whole series and got hooked on the Slender Man in general, and everything since is history. Currently the only two I really watch are MH and TT; I'm a little bit too dumb to follow all of EMH's tentacles threads, but I check up on the YT channel every now and again. I'd love to see another series join the Dark Triad in terms of top Slender stories, if only to give me something else to stalk. Laughing

I was told about the story at midnight... in a forest... I saw the series shortly after. I believe it was around the time masky was introduced or right after.

There was a topic in the "supernatural forum" on Gaia which is how I first heard about Slenderman and Marble Hornets...
At first I thought the Slenderman was real and sometimes I still forget that it's not.. Basically, I just got hooked after some of my friends started making posts about it on FaceBook. So, I started watching 4 or 5 months ago and I've been in love ever since.

I first heard about it on this site called FunnyJunk. People post funny/cool pictures on it and they get comments. So there was this creepy picture (I dont remember what it was) and then on the comment section someone talked about how creepy Marble Hornets was. So I googled it and found the youtube channel, watched the first entry and I fell in love. I started watching it at about 1:30 am, I watched from the entry #1 to the last entry at the moment, which was entry #37 or something around that, it was like a month ago. I finished at around 4:00 am, then I went to sleep.

Entry #### freaked me out really bad, the audio is so messed up xD. Next day I watched all of the totheark videos. Then I found the wiki, and then this forum.

Too bad my friends are not interested in this kind of things, its really awesome. Or maybe they just find it difficult to understand since I am from Mexico Razz. Im glad I found this though.

Oh, First post btw Very Happy.

I was messing around tvtropes.com and found and article on Slender man--found it creepy but couldn't figure out what exactly this was supposed to be, so I looked into it a bit more to find out about the origins of it, eventually stumbled across Marble Hornets. I think I started a bit before season 2 began, so thankfully I could archive binge when I was bored by the time I was caught up, season 2 was a few videos in.

Saw a lol on the cheezburger network and had no idea what a Slenderman was. So I looked it up on Know Your Meme, watched Entry #1 and that was that. I am happy I started watching MH after the 7 month hiatus because I would have completely forgotten about it if there were no posts for 7 months. Yikes.

A friend of mine is into ARG's and honestly, he hooked me too. Currently, I'm looking at Marble Hornets and Haunted Majora's Mask Cartridge.

I'm a newbie. I sat through all of them about a week ago. I was googling things for House of Leaves and stumbled into the series, and couldn't stop watching til I was done. Linked my brother and best friend, and now they read the forums here as much as I do while we wait for new episodes and skype over theories when we can't sleep.

Welcome. I really need to get on looking up HoL.

I believe I got on MH after I finished obsessing over Nine Inch Nails' Year Zero ARG. I was looking up some more creepy/scary ARGs and saw someone mentioning that Marble Hornets was a story and not an ARG. Was curious, looked it up, shatbrix at #19 (I was in the public library when watching it and kinda shifted WAAAAY back in the chair. I'm sure I looked extremely strange).

HoL is amazing, but hard for me to read. I get caught up on little details, and all the footnotes and me flipping back and forth makes it slow for me. Well worth it though. #19 scared the hell out of me. That and the noise distortion on #5. I knew it was coming, just not in that way. I haven't been disappointed at all by this series, and it takes quite a bit to hold my attention.

A couple of friends were talking about how creepy this one thing was on the web. I ended up marathoning entries 1 through 35. That was a bad night. Since then, found this place and started up with EMH (only YT, too much to follow), TT, and a few other small ones.
