A couple of friends were talking about how creepy this one thing was on the web. I ended up marathoning entries 1 through 35. That was a bad night. Since then, found this place and started up with EMH (only YT, too much to follow), TT, and a few other small ones.

I may try and get into EMH once I am done with my stack of books and such. That might take forever, but I've heard good things about it.

EMH is very much worth it. Even if you just watch their stuff on youtube, it's great. I stayed entertained/pants-crapping with just that.

Slendy can't take the sky from me.

Your second sentence has me sold, and laughing really hard. Thank you!

You're welcome.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The first five, you kinda have to laugh at them for their complete ignorance of his presence. Then you remember it's Slenderman, and you get scared for them.

During finals this year I realized that I had a lot of work to do. So much to do that sleeping didn't make a whole lot of sense. My friend told me that the last time he had to pull an all-nighter, he watched Marble Hornets. Apparently it freaked him out so badly that he couldn't fall asleep. While it didn't have quite the same effect on me, I basically ended up getting my work done because I didn't want to turn the lights off in my room. Riot-proof architecture is CREEPY, especially at night after watching Marble Hornets.

A friend showed me some of the videos.

It's funny, because I hated them at first, and now I'm in love with them. XD

I'm not gonna lie, I first heard about Slenderman from Little Kuriboh and his Concrete Giraffes video since I am a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh The Abridged Series. Smile Upon first seeing it I thought the Slenderman in his video was a character he created, so I got a little laugh from the video and then I thought nothing of it.

Later I... somehow... stumbled upon Entry 19, the one where Masky gets into Jay's bedroom. I seriously can't remember how I found the video. Perhaps I just kept clicking related videos or something. O.O Oh dear...

Anyway, I saw it and it was the scariest thing I had witnessed ever, and I am generally pretty desensitized after all the stuff that I have seen before (I am a HUGE fan of good horror Smile ). So for that video to creep me out as much as it did, I just had to have more. So I made my way to the Marble Hornets channel and the rest is history. Smile I'm officially obsessed with it now. I'm a bit of a masochist with my mind, lol. I love to freak myself out for some reason. Marble Hornets definitely fills my appetite for scary things.

Valigarmander from vgf.com gave us a link and said, "Check it out... if you're man enough..." and I was like, "Oh, it's on."

SA. But their thread moves too slow so I come here to watch people argue about forum rules when I'm bored between entries.

Oh, random TV Tropes browsing, you really have ruined my life. And my nerves.

Now, not exactly SURE when I started to watch Marble Hornets. I know it was before March break but the sleep depriving paranoia that followed DID NOT help. At all. So not I have a few months in my memory that I can barely remember due to said sleep deprivation and isolation.

GOOD THING I GOT BETTER.

Aaaand then I got into the others in "The Big Three" and from there I got into the blogs. Now I'M the one introducing my friends to Slender and I find something very concerning about that. >>;

One day I stopped not knowing the series and just started watching Marble Hornets instead.

True story

Before or after HIMYM? Wink

When I'm feeling particularly self-abusive, I like to Google image search creepy pictures. Happened upon a few Slendy shots, became enamored, and looked into it more... That lead me to MH.
That was probably mid-season one. I watched a few, likely shat myself, and blissfully forgot about it... For a while. I rediscovered MH a month and a half(or so) ago, and I'm SO thankful for it! The story has gotten more in depth than I ever imagined it could.

On one forum that I used to be a regular member of, someone made a thread about Slender Man, about a little bit after Slender Man was created. I remember, I was 13 at the time, on summer break, and staying up all night. My laptop was broken so I had to use the desktop computer, meaning that when I sat in it, my back was facing the door to my back yard.

I remember looking at pictures and thinking it was funny. I thought it was pretty stupid, to be honest. Then I decided to watch Marble Hornets (which consisted of only four entries at the time), and at first I didn't know that it followed a cohesive storyline, I thought that it was just a collection of tapes sent from other people to document Slender Man.

Around 3 AM that night/morning, it began to get to me. I was obsessively looking over my shoulder because I kept thinking that Slender Man was actually standing at my door. I eventually laid down and went to sleep.

I really don't remember actually following Marble Hornets as the entries came out, but I know I did, somehow. When Entry 26 came out, I basically stopped watching because I thought the series was over. And then in December of 2010, I had a random urge to rewatch the series, and I found out that more entries had been produced.

Marble Hornets has changed my life, in ways that aren't the greatest. I'm afraid of trees now.
