I was following this ARG called Endless Insanity, and one of the IG characters brought it up. I started watching it, and then I stopped following the ARG because it couldn't live up to MH at all.

I was reading through a Creepypasta/Nightmare Fuel thread on another forum. Someone posted the first Entry. I then proceeded to watch the rest that were available at the time, sub, and then follow it from there.

Oh that paranoia after the first sitting. I think I watched something like... 15-20 entries... Bad idea when you're just getting started. ._.

Well, I watched 43 episodes all in one sitting... yeah, that really fucked up my sleeping pattern.

I was Introduced to Slenderman by a friend and thought "lulz dis guy aint nuthin" So I disregarded it. Then several days later, I was watching a video about a wooden Marble machine and in the related vids was, you guessed it, MarbleHornets "Introduction". It was relevant to my interests so I watched the whole series that was out at the time (up to Entry #29.) I then proceeded to lock every door in my house and go into the fetal position rocking back and forth in the corner until Morning. At which point I had my friends watch it.

Then a Bald guy in a suit walked by...

I learned about this from TVTropes between Entry #40 and Intermission. Oddly enough, I watched "Splendorman" before any Marble Hornets.

While making a student film of my own, my friend asked me if I've ever heard of Marble Hornets. I said no, and he said that he thought I really would be interested in it. I said I'd give it a thought and the conversation ended there. A few days later the memory popped back into my head, so I decided to go search it on youtube. In one sitting, I sat and watched up to entry 26, which was the last one that was posted at the time. I was seriously freaked the fuck out. The idea of whether or not this was real never even went through my head at the time, and I had no idea what/who the slender man even was. For two weeks after that I was looking out the windows and behind my back making sure slender man wasn't standing in the corner of my room. Ahhh, good times.

I'm glad I came into the series when I did. I think only a week or so later, season 2 began and I found this forum where I lurked for quite some time. If I would have started watching from the beginning, I don't think I would've been able to make it throughout the 7 month break. It would've truly killed me.

The year was 1995... Oh, wait, wrong story.

*ahem*
Early September of last year, IIRC. Entry 10 had just been released and I was completely new to the forums, slenderman, and ARGs in general.

Foolishly clicking a video link at 4 in the morning, I started watching, then posting, then letting my friends know about it. Before long, MH took over my life. It went on like that for months, until I got caught up in work, love, life, etc. and strayed from the forums. Buuuuuuuut.... Now I'm back. Happy to see me? I thought so!

My name is Lifegospel, and I have a serious problem....

I was lucky (or unlucky which ever way you choose to look at it) to find it in August of 2010 a few months after season 1 had ended. My friend on a pet site (one for cool kids don't judge me) had made a fan club for Slender Man, so I watched all of the entries in one sitting, and proceeded to have horrible paranoia for the for the next few months.

And now I'm hooked on it. I'm trying to keep my reading of the different series down to keep influence at bay but as soon as I'm done with this project I'm going to go through and read/watch all of those slender stories.

I had some internet friends who were really into TVTropes and creepypasta and who were nerding out about it a bit during season 1. They told me about it and I watched a I think one episode and it seemed to fall a lot on jump scares at the time (it was an entry where most of the creepy was in SUDDEN NOISE DISTORTION HOPE YOU DIDN'T NEED THOSE SPEAKERS), and I just sort of closed the window and navigated away. I had heard of Slenderman plenty before at this point, but he really didn't frighten me that much - I lost a lot more sleep over most of the SCP entries than Slenderman (without any real story).

Then I followed Within Hubris for a while, and it shut down recently. I was still into the ARG/web story scene, though, and I decided to branch out. MH was the easiest one to find. So I plopped down and watched away. Here I am now.

I was poking around creepypasta on the internet and stumbled across the Slender Man mythos. I looked at some of the original Slender Man pictures and learned a lot about him. Of course, I was hearing about Marble Hornets in a lot of places. Being the curious person I was, I went to check it out.

I watched Marble Hornets before Season 1 was over, much to my unluckiness. There were about 24 entries so I watched them all in one sitting.

I waited for new entries to come out. After Entry 26 was out, I waited for a new entry for a few weeks, but eventually gave up. I thought that the creators had abandoned it (I didn't know about "Season 1" or the 7 month blank at the time). I eventually forgot about Marble Hornets and went back to doing other things.

Several months later, I finally came back to the Marble Hornets's twitter to check if anything had happened. To my surprise, there were 20 new entries. It was already midnight, but regardless, I watched the whole Marble Hornets, including the new entries, in one sitting. It was 4:00 AM by the time I finished.

I'm looking forward to Entry 47.

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

I was procrastinating on schoolwork (as usual) and looking through random articles on Wikipedia. I eventually found myself reading 'Lovecraftian Horror' and in the See Also section I saw 'Slenderman' linked. I was immediately fascinated after reading a couple paragraphs. Marble Hornets was the first of the Mythos I checked out, I loved it and still do it's my favorite of the Mythos next to EverymanHYBRID.
