The Offspring

I, being a noisy little sister slowly opened the door to my brothers room. Little did I know what he was watching, I made him jump 10ft into the air.

Me: "What'cha watching?"
Brother: "Some youtube series a friend sent me. It's kinda like LOST."
Me: "cool."

I go get my Computer and start watching the first 16 Entry's.

Brother walks in, slowly opening door... makes me shiz the brixz.

Brother: "don't watch 18.... please don't."

I was sold ever since.

(Note I went ahead and watched 18. nether of us slept with the light's off.)

One day my friend and her cousin asked me if I had heard of Slenderman, and then we sat down and watched the entire first season of MH. Lucky for me, I tuned in towards the end of that 7-month gap, so it wasn't much longer before season 2 kicked in.

Unfortunately, she avoids theorizing like the plague so I can't really talk to her about any of my ideas and must therefore vent at the Internet because a typical conversation is "So do you think maskies are good guys?" "...*leshrug*" RAGE.

But I'm really glad she introduced me to it, I've met a bunch of really amazing people in the fandom and feeding my brain slendertheories has (idk if this is pathetic or what) gotten me through some potentially crappy times.

Also, how meaningless my life was before I met Tim's sideburns.

I don't remember the year exactly, I guessed '08 because it seemed like a long time ago.

It was probably '09 then, all I remember was it was Winter and it was before 2010.

Friend of mine posted the video on Facebook. I THINK it was #21?

After I caught up, and saw "I'm done with this." I though, 'ok, that was nice. Guess it's over now?'

Then one day, another friend was looking for a good scary series, and I remembered this series vaguely. When I went to track it down a bit more, I found out it had continued into ~35 or so.

Since then, I've been rehooked into it, along with several other Stories :3

Late '09 (I forget when, might have been '10) I was on /x/ when there was a slendythread. This was the early days, mind you (around entry 19) so it was still a new concept that everybody was excited about. So I looked it up, started watching and i've been hooked ever since.
