I honestly cannot remember when I started watching Marble Hornets, or first heard anything on Slenderman. I think it might have started a year ago, but I really don't have any idea. Kind of creepy O.o.

I recall seeing the old Slenderman photoshops back in the day (not sure where. Reddit or /x/ seem likely candidates). Marble Hornets though I got onto because of Concrete Giraffes.

I watch someone on deviantART, and one day they posted some lineart of Slender Man, and I was bored, out of stuff to do, etc etc, so I decided to look this ''Slender Man'' up. And later that night I found out about Marble Hornets, Tribe Twelve, TJAprojects, and so on.
All of that somehow got me here.

I found it when reading about a gmod update. the "Limb mod". Some people started saying "Slenderman" and "Enderman" and "Marble hornets". Endermen are the gateway...

An MSN contact of mine discovered that 8 minute or so YouTube video detailing the "ancient worldwide legend" of Slenderman. I was initially unimpressed with the whole thing, Google searched, & found out about Something Awful, Marble Hornets, etc.

I watched an entry or 2 of Marble Hornets & went, "Wow, this is crap."

Then a few months later, I'm not sure why, but I began to find Slenderman stories more interesting. As such, I decided to give Marble Hornets a second chance.

It's a long, convoluted journey.

I was reading a Cracked article about video game urban legends that are real. They mentioned the shadow people on a Mario game. That article had a link about the "Slender Man" on the Mythical Creatures website, so, naturally, being a schmuck, I went to said article. I started reading more, and finally decided to look for it on TV Tropes. This led me to Marble Hornets.

Thereafter I had nightmares, a profound inability to go near the woods, and a well-developed hatred of having the curtains open at night.

Yay paranoia.

Around six months ago, Guudeboulderfist (a Minecraft LPer I'm subscribed to) mentioned Marble Hornets off-hand on one of his videos. I had never heard of the Slenderman before this, and all I knew about the series before beginning to watch it was that it had something to do with Minecraft endermen. I proceeded to do a marathon-run of all of the entries, 1-52. Let's just say I didn't sleep at all that night XD The next day, I looked for more information on the tall faceless fellow that haunted Jay, Alex, and Tim, and the rest is history.

Oddly enough, Guude recently made a video of himself meeting Troy and Tim. I found it strange that the person who first introduced me to Marble Hornets had engaged in conversation with the actual creators. Small world, much?

Den of Geek did an article on found footage horror movies (which I'm a huge fan of) and someone mentionced Marble Hornets in the comments page.

Found the series and fell in love with it and watched all of the entires in two days and well, here I am
