Whoa, I'm not the only Twenty Sider here? Nice to meet you. Smile

I myself was messaged an entry by my friend on a five-hour car trip. My phone was flat out of batteries long before I got home. (This was late December 2011, between seasons 2 and 3.)

Nice! Yes, I love me some Shamus Young. Very Happy

We have something else in common: I was on a trip when I discovered MH, too. I was headed out of town, though; spent my first nights aware of Slender Man in a strange room with way too many strange noises. Still creeps me out to think of it.

Was doing the Mission Icefly ARG and people in IRC were talking about it, and I had seen the subforum on this place. One day I decided it was time to start watching.

I had heard about Slendy through like...Creepypasta forums and whatnot, so I naturally wanted to play Slender. From there it just took off. xD

My friend was all, "Hey, you like horror - you should play the game Slender." And then I played it and loved it. Looked back at the website with the download link I used, and it mentioned that it was loosely based on MH or whatnot. I think I Googled Marble Hornets and found the wikidot/wikia/whatever site for the entries, looked around a bit, and got hooked.

I don't usually post on threads like these
But when I do, I write somehing longish.

So about ~1 year ago, probably more, I was reaaally into Minecraft (and I still am today). So when 1.8 started up and the Endermen were in development, I decided to watch a video or two about the Endermen. In this one vid this Scottish guy discussed the Endermen and about what they were based on - The Slenderman. I did a little research about good old Slendy and quickly found the MH wiki. The rest is history (but not really).

The one strabge thing about that video, though, is that the guy said that all Slenderman wanted was to find his daughter.
If anyone could find this video that would be cool.

Heard about Marble Hornets right around the time it started. I watched a few entries and I was like, "Oh, that's cool." And forgot about it, up until a few months ago when I got super hooked.

Someone told me about Marble Hornets two or thre years ago (or something like that).
I started watching it and I found it very interesting, but then, there was no more entries and I forgot about it until the game Slender: the Eight Pages came up and it reminded me Marble Hornets. I even had forgot the series name, and it took me like half an hour to find it again. When I found it, I started rewatching it, and discovered TTA's channel.
Now there is no possible way for me to forget about that x)

I've seen slender man being posted on different forums and stuff but one time I decided I wanted to find out more. I found the original forum post on somethingawful.com and found marble hornets through Jay's post there. I would think that is the absolutly best way to discover the series. When I discovered it I watched all the way through 1-50ish (every released entry) in one sitting.

Someone messaged me about it on facebook, and tried to convince me it was real.

...About every 5 entries of season one, I had to google MH just to confirm to myself that it wasn't real. Crying or Very sad

I was watching BlackBoxTV's Urban Legend special in December of 2011, and Slendy was one of the three. I thought it was real. xD Did a ton of research and found Marble Hornets. Marathonned it in one night, couldn't sleep for weeks.

I think the newest video at the time was Entry #22.

I was wrong. I found an old diary entry today where I mention finding MH on Feb 23, 2010. The newest entry would've been #24.

I'm the only person I know who still watches this series; everyone else stopped caring during season 2 when the style started changing. MH was an entirely different thing back then when you could still squint and it sort of looked like it could be real.

I remember getting to Entry #19 and being really annoyed that J didn't mention TTA back in Entry #9, so I had to go back and watch all those videos before continuing with 19. I also remember back when he was actually called J instead of Jay. Razz

My cousin introduced it to me over the summer and we got up to Entry 19 (with Masky over Jay's bed). I couldn't sleep that night, but hey, it was summer anyway.

I wanted to stop watching cause it was scary but it was so interesting that I just HAD to keep watching.

I started watching around the middle of season 2 (I think it was around when Jay was following Alex in the tapes). My brother wanted me to watch this horror thingy; he probably thought I'd think it was interesting, which I did find it to be. We watched every entry, totheark, and read every tweet that was out at the time. We started in the morning, and I tried solving the totheark mysteris when they weren't too hard for me. My brother told me the...thing... was Slenderman, and he was called "The Operator" in Marble Hornets; but I just called him "Voldemort" until I saw enough evidence of his name (which was that drawing Alex was making that said "OPERATOR"). Also, calling him Voldemort made him seem less scary, cus I was just joking around. We finished watching all of the vids before night, but a new entry was released on that very same day, when it was dark (of course). We watched it, and then I just had the mysteries to ponder. Anyways, the time to sleep came, but I couldn't sleep thinking that masky might be teleporting around my bed, or that The Operator could walk theough my door way. I was in bed, but I only finally slept when I was too tired to stay awake. Later, since there wasn't a new entry or anything, I checked one of the websites that pop up when you type Marble Hornets into google, and I checked out any solutions to the TTA vids that were there. The website was the Marble Hornets wiki, I think, and it lead me to unfiction.

On a side note, my borther already watched some of the entries prior to our dual viewing (not sure how many), and one of his internet buddies introduced him to Marble Hornets in the first place.
