How did you get started on Marble Hornets/Slenderman

I honestly can't remember either. I know I've been watching Marble Hornets since around entry #27 came out and only branched out to others a few months ago. I just looked it up one day because the phrase Marble Hornets had been in my brain all day and started watching it. I probably saw it mentioned somewhere but I've been hooked on MH and other slendy ARGs since. But I've been spreading it among my friends like a disease, they aren't as into it as I am, but they enjoy it.

My little brother told me something about this thing called the Slender Man and how it was some boogie man that has existed for centuries and some junk; so being interested in the macabre as I am I began googling it and then found all the mythos, Marble Hornets included, and was filled with the same surge of wonder and excitement as I had once before when I first ever even had the internet.
Yes.
Slender Man was my internet-renaissance.

A friend of mine from college asked if I'd ever heard of The Slender Man. I said no, and he mentioned that it was a bit of a mindfuck (in so many words) (I assume he saw a status or two about me loving Mulholland Drive Razz

). He posted a link to Marble Hornets (assuming it was just called The Slender Man for some reason). I put off watching for a few weeks, but finally just sat down between classes one day and watched through the whole of season one.

My mind was blown. I'm a bit of a paranoiac (or just a paranoia junkie maybe). Thrived on House of Leaves, loved Mulholland Drive. It's sort of my 'genre'. I couldn't stop watching. Then I realized a week after I started watching that they were coming back (they posted on the Twitter account with those pictures). Blew my mind, and I was right into it with the start of Season 2.

It's been a beautiful journey ever since. Very Happy

I read an article on Kotaku about a haunted Majora's Mask cartage and I followed that.(Jadusable) After a while he posted something OOG saying something about him not having a big team like Marble Hornets. I Googled that and haven't had a good nights rest since! Very Happy

I was a fan of Little Kuriboh and I saw Concrete Giraffes, so I had to find out more. That was about a month ago. Now I'm into MH, eH, and a ton of blogs.

Don't remember when exactly or how far into the series it was, but I'm fairly certain it was before Entry 26. I ran across the name on 4chan's /x/ board while I was on a bit of a creepy video/game binge, was hooked from the first glimpse of Slendy, and haven't looked back since. Well, a little over my shoulder, but that's about it...

I actually heard about it from a friend towards the end of last year(yeah I started playing after Season 1 ended.), I was walking home from school with a friend talking about how I read about Slender Man on Know Your Meme, and he says, "There's this really cool series about the Slender Man on YouTube called MarbleHornets." I'm like "WHAT?" And then me and my other friend go to my house and watch all 26 videos, we flip the fuck OUT. Now I'm obsessed.

I shared this link with my friends, of course.

Oddly enough, I remember being unimpressed with the introduction and didn't give the rest of the series another thought until my friends called me up freaking out about how there was someone in the window. They picked me up and I watched Marble Hornets that night.

It may have been because I was surrounded by people and couldn't really get into it, but it didn't scare me much then. But as the days went by I found myself thinking about it more, and watched it again. Then I found the SA thread, Unforum, KnowYourMeme, etc.

I'm hooked now, and Slender Man scares me senseless xD. It's all their fault.

Maybe around Entry #7, 8 I found Marble Hornets, but then promptly forgot it after being a bit too busy with a few projects. Then at about 1:50am some Saturday in November of last year it was mentioned on a blog I occasionally check. This is the normal procedure for me: if I like something I know I'll remember it later or it will eventually find me again.
I proceeded to watch all of the entries spread out over the next week, only after dark, for the fun.
The wiki led me here while I was making my own analysis notes and checking what others had found.
