Hahahaha. This kid at our school went around with the Slenderman page on his itouch and preached to everybody in the cafeteria about the dangers of slenderman. I went home and googled slenderman, and found MH.

Later, i showed the kid again, and he FREAKED out

A person posted a screenshot of the entry where Brian's in the car and Slenderman's in the background. Made me look up the series. Been hooked since like spring a few weeks after Entry 26 came out.

I forget how I got into it, I just remember that I've been around since Entry #5 or so.

Was watching Let's Plays of "Amnesia: Dark Descent". Uploader claimed he wasn't afraid of the game, in fact not afraid of much of anything. He responded to a comment saying that "Marble Hornets" freaked him the fuck out. I searched it, and watched everything from entry 1 - about 31 (yeah i know, I'm a noobie). Searched it on google and found this forum! Been lurkin ever since.

I was looking for something on youtube (not sure what it was) and the 19 was in the title, and I came across Entry 19.5 in the related videos. Wasn't sure what to think in the first minute, but i was captivated when I saw the first image of Masky sitting there, on Jays dresser, while he slept. from that point on I spent hours watching every video multiple times, as well as finding out about totheark and his videos. I've been a fan ever since. (Few weeks later found unfiction, but the season ended while I was creeping, so I faved the page and waited for the new season)

Hi five, please.

EDIT: The game from my avatar triggers his phobia, which seems to be a complete opposite from mine (should I have any).

I kept hearing about it over at ONTD_Creepy, starting looking into it on TV Tropes and ended up watching 1-26 right before the second season started. And then I got into other ones like EMH, etc.

It all started with a wikipedia entry about ARGs which linked me to unfiction - which was connected to unforum ... and it must have been to most recently touched link because I kinda just clicked on the first thing available to get a feel about what was going on and just couldn't stop watching.

PS: Entry 26 is still my favourite, her reaction was just GOLD!

TVtropes articles about creepypasta. First, SCP Foundation (too tedious to read). Then, Slender Man - the original SA thread. And then, Marble Hornets, just a few days after Season 1 finished, all entries and the twitter feed in one go.
Since then, Tribe Twelve, Just Another Fool and some lesser known stories.

I find the Slender Man Mythos the greatest weird thing ever brought by the Internet. The "artificial urban legend" take, its global reach and absolutely great content provided by normal (as in "not professional writers, actors, producers, whatevers") people is really something.

That's what I love the most about the whole thing.

I've known about MH/Slenderman for a while (I was actually reading SA when the original thread was started, but somehow missed it. I am a freeloading goon, so I don't really pay too close attention to the forums.), but didn't actually start watching it seriously until late this past summer.

I was surfing r/creepy on reddit when I stumbled upon one of the MH Entries. I investigated SA, and found UF through another ARG. Through here I discovered all the other ARGs and fell in love. The rest is history.

Was being a SummerFag Lurker on 4chan, someone in /x/ said that it was good, and I though 'well, I don't have anything better to do today'. Watched the first half one day and the second have the next day (Up to the end of the 1st 'season', which is where it had stopped at that point) After I finished watching it I couldn't get to sleep that night. The moral of this story is that when you're an impressionable Teen/Young Adult, don't sit through an entire Horror Series in two days. Especially when said series is about a supernatural boogeyman that finds you, stalks you, and then quite possibly rips you apart and/or eats you.

It was early 2010 that I found out about MH. My favorite show (Lost) was winding down and I was in dire need of something to fill the void that was left by it's ending. (In terms of having a series that fueled constant speculation/near obsession and had a fanbase that was as crazy about speculating as I am.)

One day, I was bored and surfing /x/, when I saw a Slenderman thread. I googled it and ended up being led to the Marble Hornets wiki. (Which I am really thankful for, because it made jumping into the whole thing alot easier for me.)

Needless to say, MH gave me that in spades and my sleep schedule hasn't been the same since.
