 		Spike VGA's VIRAL?!
Rabbit hole in Spike's 2010 VGA commercial
Hey everyone!!! It's been awhile since I've been on here, but I ran across this and couldn't find any posts through a search, so I HAD to post and get this going!

I was watching "Spike" the other night and saw the new commercial for the Video Game Awards this year. At the very end of the commercial the words "Look Closer" flash for about half a second.

After seeing this, I went to Spike's webpage to see if there was anything there. Everything looked normal, except for the background image, which had some random binary in it.

But, today the background image has changed and now has the words "Look Closer" ALL OVER IT!

I'm pretty sure this is the start of some sort of viral!

If this already has a thread, and I missed it, I'm VERY sorry Admin!!!

Well, the BG image is 1.60 MB so, I'd guess it's possible it's stegged, but I ran Camouflage on it and if it is stegged, I need a password???

UPDATE: No luck with a password, but I did run across another version of the background with the original binary.

In the video, you see the words LOOK CLOSER. He told me to pause at around seven seconds to see a picture that says STAY ALERT STAY ALIVE REPORT SYMPTOMS. The frame before that picture is a QR code, which links to: http://mm.mtv.com/gVhETz

On the page is an image that says LOOK CLOSER in white text and then YOUR in red. The title of the page is wosxnlookpqhyccloser. There is also a link to http://m.spike.com/vga2010.rbml. I haven't found anything else.

This page title is xjlsielookxlhwicloser and the picture says LOOK CLOSER, MURDER. Since this video came out before the video from my previous post, we have MURDER YOUR.

 		I actually think it might be possible that there is more than one ARG being started at the awards. Aside from being linked to the SVGA site there is little connecting Stay Alive and Murder Your Maker. Murder Your Maker is pretty-much confirmed as prototype and Stay Alive has been hinted as being Resident Evil.

I'd say It's premature to merge the threads before we know there's a in-game connection between the two.

EDIT: Ah... Sad Just saw that link you posted about Resident Evil. I think we might have more than 2 ARGs starting at the same time.

Great game, still have my swag I scored at the end of it. I hope this is a another chance to play in that world because that game was awesome.
