Yeah, I'm getting a bit interested in this myself. I'm more interested in thetreeswatch than I am in anything else though.

the watcher is quite interesting
that he is

but!
devon's dog has gone missing just about an hour ago, that he knows.

I laughed at your comment, Virus. I honestly hope the dog won't end up on the front lawn. I honestly hope it'll be fine. HOWEVER, if it's not fine, I want him to find it somewhere creative and original.

Any theories as to how this one might turn out, or do you think it's too soon to tell?

i think right now it's a bit soon
but slender seems to be petty malevolent in this one

the watcher seems to know quite a bit though
like he's been through this before and survived somehow

mayhaps one of them will die, but the other will survive long enough to give us the end game, instead of just disappearing?

[i kind of hope that if it's a small dog, she shows up in the mailbox if she's not okay. that'd be just awesome.]

thetreeswatch certainly seems to be like this blog's totheark, except less cryptic (in a way, not so much).

This could actually go anywhere at this point, I agree. I'm hoping this one doesn't make SM out to be so evil, though.

(Personally, I'm rooting for the freezer. Wink)

[oh god, in little half gallon ice cream tubs and it turns out slendy just wanted to throw a big surprise party for him at the end!]

haha, i was actually thinking that maybe devon saw marble hornets and while he didn't want to game jack he did want to try something like it.

maybe it's his first time coordinating one, so he sort of used it like a template, taking aspects of MH and JAFool?

but this slendy seems different
like a curious creature who only wants to observe quietly and not be seen
like a scientist or something of the like
or a protector, making sure his territory isn't encroached upon, since he's a tree.

was a tree, anyway.

Yeah, that actually sounds likely. I guess we're still waiting for the one thing that makes this one stand out, aren't we? Like... MarbleHornets has SM, totheark, and Masky (assuming here that Masky isn't totheark). JAF, while it doesn't necessarily HAVE SM, it has the notebook, which includes SM in the drawings, thus incorporating him into the story. But "alwayslook" doesn't exactly have those defining features. It seems like it'll have a unique base story though, I can tell that already. And I guess it only started... what, yesterday? So there's plenty of time for it to give us its "something special".

SM in this one does seem a bit more evil. Right from the start too, I guess. Though, we can't be too sure if it is SM that took his dog quite yet.

maybe it was the watcher, trying to keep him safe from slendy?
i dunno if i should spoiler the quote or not... D:

I watch, close to you, protecting, never stopping, eyes never closing, never sleeping. I keep the voice inside your head running, always running, always running. Very close to you, unseen, behind a thin veil.

Trying to protect Devon in the sense that SM doesn't like animals, and in taking the dog, TTW might be helping him?

maybe
i mean
if his dog isn't there to flip out while he's around, devon will only be watched.

slendy will remain hidden in plain sight, able to watch to his heart's content. since he won't be seen, devon won't know to much about him unless someone fills him in about details slendy doesn't like people knowing.

devon would potentially live long enough to escape slendy, or he'd come to a slow realization of what was going on in time to get away, leaving the watcher to do as he pleases.

Don't have the patience to log in at the moment, but the picture he uses I've seen before. That's just a snippet, I'll get the original in a bit.
