So here's my chat with Claire after telling her I could take a part of the papers.

I sent Claire my address too. Hopefully my scanner won't explode or eat anything important. FYI: Don't by anything half off at Office Max. It usually ends in frustration and threats to throw electronics out the window.

I also sent Vlad a message apologizing for my lack of interaction with him and volunteered to relinquish my crown, if need be. Between the holidays, working two jobs, and now being sick as hell, I figured I'd at least let him know that I may not be up for the challenges.

The Ouroboros?

Y'know. At first, being the Anime geek I am, I thought "Heh, Full Metal Alchemist."
Then it hit me. We've dealt with Chemistry in this before. The Ouroboros is an alchemical symbol that represents both purity and infinity.

It's possible that J was trying to show her some sort of subliminal message with that. Something he knew she'd make the allusion to, and post something about it.

It may be grasping for straws, but his research harmed his immune system. Vlad mentions things with his agency going down in the Cold War. Maybe J's 'alchemical' research was in to nuclear weaponry - which would fit the UUU riddle, and why his immune system is shot, as well as fitting the right era.

Could be looking too far in to things.. but, that's what came to mind.

All this talk of magic tricks, and Vlad's little ESP bit... Maybe it isn't chemistry, but the science fiction Alchemy, as seen in stuff like FMA and such. I mean, in most fictitious settings, Alchemy is seen as a magic. Shit, most medieval alchemists were thought to be doing magic, from what I understand.

I think we need to find out more about these 'tricks'.

The Ouroboros is said to repersent the Opus for Alchemists. The 'Magnum Opus' or The Great Work was the successful transmutation of a material to gold, or the creation of a philosopher's stone. I'll post the wiki info :

My chat with Claire was nearly identical. You'll notice on her wall and also on her comments on one of my statuses she mentions that Vanessa's family used to have a magic show on New Year's every year, and Vanessa's mom would give out presents.

things that stand out for me right now:
- Vanessa mentioning the Ouroboros, Claire mentioning rings (Saturday = Saturn = planet with rings around it)
- Vanessa's uncle regularly doing magic on Jan. 1; Vanessa's family going back to Arthurian times (Merlin?)
- did Vanessa specifically mention pomegranates for a reason?
- Vanessa's new computer arrived at 11
- Vanessa was shown a photo by her uncle of her mom "standing by some pillars in a church in Tuscany or Tuscania." I've asked her if the church looked like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tuscania_San_Pietro.jpg (San Pietro, a church in Tuscania).

Going back to his note to Jim, the phrase

seems to be a phrase Eliot was going to use in a draft version of The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock (my favorite, btw). Eliot took it from Dante's Purgatory.

So in the past couple of minutes, Vlad has posted 17 new photos to an album called 111 111 111 111. Since he just posted them, I haven't had a chance to look at them much. Many look like scans from The Wasteland. One is labeled "Gen 2:17".

So for those who havn't seen it Vlad posted a thing called To the Knight Queen. It contains an answer to Dawn's question as well as a picture. I'm thinking the chess players are: us VS. JPW And the coach, or what I think is a coach, is Vlad... for now.

Also out of boredom... I looked up Proverbs 20:10. It says in the New World Translation: "Two sorts of weights and two sorts of e′phah measures—they are both of them together something detestable to Jehovah." Which basically talked about the sellers at the markets back then who used altered or different weights to tip the scales in their favour. Could be grasping at straws but... I dunno.

V posted a new FB status about planting flowers (Crocuses) with Johan. Crocuses apparently symbolize cheerfulness and gladness. Claire also responded to James' question about magic tricks. There's another blog post from V, as well. I won't copy and paste the whole thing, because it's rather long. new blog post

She is discussing prime numbers again, which will likely bring us back to 73939133, which is where we started and is something that has been forgotten with all the other information we have been given. She also posted a snippet from her horoscope for today. It's about working together with friends to make the work go faster. There's also a weird picture, another one that looks like I've seen it before, but can't place it.[/url]
